    Water Temp: 60-70

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished Main body north end in the mornin, couple of bites, nothin to get excited about. Went into Putah Creek, 5 mile an hour area where Ive been getting them in the afternoon, No wind condition, birds weren't workin, nothing happenin, threw Two baits, for 4 hours, Topwater and a spoon, Fished from 30-55ft with the spoon, caught 1 fish in 40ft...skinny fish, big mouth no body wt. Caught two fish with topwater suspended (had to be) in trees. I did not crank at all.
    City: Castro Valley

Tips: I think after 3 trips you have to diffently find the shad and either spoon them or use somekind of reaction bait. The water is starting to cool down some with the colder nights. It should turn on soon.....I hope!!!

    Water Temp: 70's

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished a club tourny Sunday. Bite was tough. All fished seemed to come before 9 am!. After 9am it shut down. Didn't seem to matter what you threw as long as you did before 9am. Half Smallies and Half Northers no spots. Flukes/worms/crankin/grubs everthing worked.
    City: San Jose

Tips: If you are going to go fish early for Bass. Once the bite stops switch over to trout. They seem to be the only thing going during the day.(at the surface).

Report: Lanched out of Markley and worked top water through the Narrows. Only had one dink off main point. Located several concentrations of fish in Wrag Canyon however they had a bad case of lock jaw. Working main body, I fond fish at all depths. However, most concentrations were in the 15 to 20 foot rang. Picked up a few keepers splitshottin over humps.
    City: Granite Bay

Tips: Be willing to set on a spot for a while and work it well before moving on. The fish turn on and off freequently this time of year.

    Water Temp: 68-72

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Caught fish in the morning using top water baits (Walkin Stick). Nothing happen with worms or jigs of any style or technique. After 2PM the fish were chasing the shad, Caught them again with the Walkin Stick and also rippen a LuckyCraft 78. I Quite about 4:30. I found this fish over 40-60 feet of water.
    City: Castro Valley

Tips: Look for concentrations of shad off of main structure. you may have to meter a lot. I would highly recommend using spoons to topwater and not to pass up rippen or cranking thru the shad, especially if you happen to find the shad balled up.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished a club tournament on 9-18-99. The bite was really slow for everyone. Most fish were caught at 25'-30' deep using shad pattern worms or white grubs. I caught 1 using a carolina rigged green tube bait. Largest fish was only 2.5 lbs among 28 anglers. Most fish average 1.5 lbs.
    City: Rohnert Park

Tips: Go deep around rocky points. Fish are feeding on small 1"-2" shad. Fish really slow and be patient. Match the hatch.

    City: petaluma

Tips: my personal suggestion is to use a trouble hook to catch your bass. If anything else I would use an L-hook.ATTENTION....... DO NOT go buying those cheap Banjo Minnows , the bionic minnow or sound bite lure.

    Water Temp: 70

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: I fished from the shore in one of the more popular coves. It was about 104 degrees that day and people were swimming and splashing water on both sides of me. I used a Berkley power grub (white) and decided to giant hop it off of the bottom letting drop slowly. The result was a 2.5lb smallmouth. I was surprised to catch him due to all of the noise and splashing around me.
    City: Richmond

Tips: If one tactic doesn't work, change tactics. Be patient no matter what the situation.

    Water Temp: 70+

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Went out with CAST for kids event. Only fished for an hour and a half in the late morning, but managed three largemouth - largest about 4 pounds. Ripped a dink and splitshotted the other two on 6# brown/green worm. Seemed like there was a strong bite going and I would like to have been able to fish longer. Fished the deep water dropoffs at the northeast end of the lake. Fish came in 20' of water.
    City: Fair Oaks

Tips: Fish are already into summer patterns...shallow reaction baits early on flats near deep water then find the nearest dropoffs next to the big flats and fish plastics or jigs slow on the bottom.

Report: Fished ABA Pro-Team with my "netman" Old Dawg, he he. We started on the North East portion of the Lake (Vineyards),fishing Points and pockets with rip baits and spooks. The bite was pretty good, but nothing over two pounds. We did manage to limit quickly.I switched to a magnum lizard after the reaction bite slowed, hoping to get a toad. Nothing. Six inch lizards and baby brush hogs worked.Tried several locations, then went up Putah Creek, still catching small fish.(There was a lull around 10am - 12pm)At 1:15 PM on a secondary rocky point in the creek, I threw my carolina-rigged baby brush hog (grn/pumpkin) in 8' of water and got bit. I knew it was a heavy fish cause when I set the hook, it felt like I hooked a tire, which began swimming out to deep water. When she jumped I almost s--t! If Old Dawg didn't believe me when I yelled "get the net",he did now. It made two good runs and found her way to the net.My big fish of the year. I'm still on cloud nine. We won the tourn! ament and big fish. Most of the weights were 6+ to 8+. Second place was 11+ with a 7.11 kicker, taken on a Pop-R.We ended up with 13.59 lbs. Good weight any day at Berryessa.See yah, tite lines! Big
    City: San Leandro

Tips: Tips: When it comes to lizard or brush hogs, line size don't matter. I was using 15lb Big Game on the reel, and 12 lb. leader.

    Water Temp: 69-70

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished on Sunday, May 30. Despite more boats and PWC's on the water than I could have imagined, we landed 19 bass three bluegill. Largest bass was maybe 14". Most were caught on 4" S&P ringworm. Did get a good rip bite at dark. Despite the fact that there were boats in every cove (non-fisherman)we had a good day. After seeing the full moon, wished we had stayed home during the day and fished all night.
    City: Concord

Tips: Tips: We noticed the fish were concentrated at the 10-12 foot range. Possibly due to the clear water/boat traffic. In the evening the fish got more aggressive and wanted movement, that's when we switched to rip baits.
