Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Decided to head up for labor day weekend. It was a cold one. My dad and his work buddy were shaking in their boots they were so excited about the Kok Salmon and the Lake Trout Macs. I of course had my mind set on the bass. Long Story short dad and work buddy ended up with 0 Koks, 2 Mac pups, and a small Rainbow after 9 hours of fishing over the 3 days. I had 13 small mouth bass under my belt after the 3rd day, 2 of em at 4 and 5 lbs. Cold, Windy, and Great fishing.
City: LaytonTips: I was using a Gitzit Crawdad impression, anchoring 5 feet out at a depth of about 8 Ft, and casting at about that 14 ft of depth. Bass were only hitting off the very bottom, watch for snags and don't try to set at first nibbles, those buggers are cautious.

Cottonwood Lake
-
Water Temp: Cold
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Hit the water at 11:00 and first 4 casts yielded 2 fat females. First fish 6 lbs and then 7.5 lbs. Both fish came from the rocks near the dam on American Shad pattern lucky craft pointer. These fish are thinkin' spawn but the new cold streak is confusing them. Tried my other "favorites" like senkos and drop shot but these fish wanted shad pattern cranks.
City: AntiochTips: Fish the wind blown banks. The fish seemed to be staged about 10' off the rocks looking for bait fish.

Report: Pieview resevoir is not the dominate place to catch alot of fish at once. But through repeated tries like me you will sooon find out what works. I went to the far east side of pineveiw that is closest to the elementary school. It was later in the day (6:00) I had my float tube packed, got suited up and kicked out there. For today I was planning on catching some smallmouth bass. Fot bait I had a rubber minnow bait to start. I casted out towards trees toward the bank using a kigging motion followed with a stop and reel. Having repeatedly no luck and kept trying different reel speeds and teqhnique. After having even more luck I went back to my jigging motion. And this time having got a huge hit close to my float tube. I carefully reeled in being careful not to loose what a had on the line. After a furocious fight with the fish I suspected to be a bass the fish emerged and revealed itself to be a medium not full grown tiger musky. Still being about 2 feel long with razor sharp teeth I was satisfied that I had finally caught one of the least caught fish in the lake. Being said it is 1 out of a 1000 casts that catch a tiger musky. And since I was 8 years old I have waited for that 1000th cast and here it was a wonderful musky.
City: HuntsvilleTips: Change and try different reel speeds, teqniques and bait until you find the right one for that night, tempature, depth, and that big fish you've always waited for but never caught.
