Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: I spent 4 days exploring Nicasio the week of Sept 23rd. Got through maybe 1/4 of the reservoir. Had the best success near the dam when I switched to a vintage deep diving crankbait. 8 bass by the dam in maybe 6 hours, nothing over 2 pounds.
Thinking of taking a couple small bass home next time, but not sure how healthy the population is. Less small bass= more food for the big ones, right? I know those damn carp seem to be splashing EVERYWHERE and they're huge.
City: South San FranciscoTips: Bounce your lures off the rocks!Didn't catch a single one on the famous Senko, but people seem to have success with it.
There are some back coves if you're willing to hike, although I'd consider it fairly treacherous and unsure what the rewards are, I only caught one in two days exploring on a Mepps Agila.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: hey whatsup guys, my report about Nicasio is i usually go there for some nice cat fishing, but its been re-dunk slow, i think its to cold, but i will fish for anything that bites my shit. So today i went to my o.g. spot, caught damn near a 2 foot carp in the first 30mins must have been around 10-15 pounds, a true chunker. after K.O.-ing that invasive carp, i cased out to the same spot and 15 minutes later i caught about a foot and a half rainbow trout, i was very surprised. i let it go, so the population stays in there. Nicasio is also great for bass
City: San RafaelTips: try, try, try again. bring mosquito repellent, boots, and watch closely for ticks.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Went out to the coast for Labor Day weekend. Saw a lot of cars park on the side of the road and a lot of people fishing. I think about trying out this lake for the first time. Can anyone give some info? I read you can't launch a boat but can you use a pontoon boat or a float tube or a kayak? Does anybody know any regulations on this lake? Thanks...tight lines.
