City: San Jose, CATips: Beats me, but I am going to keep trying..

Report: Fished Discovery Bay, Indian slough and False river area or 7 hours on 10/04. Worked mostly with Senkos, but also tried rattle traps and spinners, plus several other plastics. Tough bite and only managed a ew small ones. Talked to another basser at the end o the day who had better luck almost entirely on cranks.
Tips: try craw colored cranks. On the cloudy days the topwater bite will oten keep up or a long time.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Pre-ished and ished the Hook tourney..Saturday was overcast all day, ishing was good considering we had never ished that area o the Delta beore..We launched out o Orwood and headed or Disco Bay..Fished there or about 1.5 hrs catching nothing but dinks..Headed up Old River stopping and ishing several o the islands and numerous tule banks..Still nothing but dinks..Tried buzzers early, then tried cranking and spinners..Caught most ish on Senkos..Tried jigs also, but had no takers..Sunday or the Tourney tried several areas where we at least had caught ish and managed to bring in three keepers (and that is all they were), no size too them at all..Had one that I would have guesstimated at between 6 and 8 pounds ollow a spinner, but didn't hit it..Just took a close look and swam o..Oh well..
City: San Jose, CATips: I don't know what you have to do to catch big ish in this area, but I am going to keep trying and hopeully catch them next time..

Report: We had a tough bite today. Not suprising with the cooler temps and blue sky. We worked around Franks and Fisherman's Cut and only boated 9 or 10. Lost two more at the boat. As usual, we can always count on senko's or some small ish. But our better bites came on wht/chrt spinner baits ished across tule points and slow rolled (6-10 eet) along the outside weed line. Didn't get a single blade bite on rock walls. Blade ish were all in the 2 - 2 1/2 lb class, nothin real big. Had our or ive blow ups on rogs ishing a mat around 11. They seemed smaller than the norm and we didn't hook any o em.
City: TRACYTips: Fish are in the current.

Found a ew small patches o matted weeds and decided to toss the rog. Blk/blu, not my Delta choice but was still tied on rom Clear lake. Ater a ew casts I turned around to see what my dog was doing. That's when I heard that unmistakable slurp/kiss. Beore I turned back I elt my rod jerk and I jerked out o relex. Up on top and skied her back to the boat. A healthy looking 5.5 rom less than 2 eet o water had completely inhaled my rog.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished Saturday and Monday. Took two oreign exchange students rom Japan who had never ished. I ended up tying on a lot o hooks and watching ish swim around the boat undetected. I managed to hit a 7.5 on crank and 20+ other ish. Best 5 went 14lbs. Used Cranks, Spinnerbait, and Senkos. Today was awesome...No boat traic and I ished the AM with Buzzbait/Yellow/White and caught 6-keepers in the irst hour...Switched to white spinnerbait and caught two keepers and two dinks...Fished crank at High on a weedless wall with current and caught three ish one over three. Headed to rog water around 8:30 AM and caught 3 o the 6 ish that ound their way to my rog...Good weight at 13+lbs on the three...I hope this happens on Saturday...Decided to close out the day throwing jigs and senkos...Caught a 5+ and two good 2.5-3lb...Only got three bites the last ew hours...
City: Discovery BayTips: Finding my best luck cranking and on topwater. Fishing the main river either Old or Middle is very productive or me this time o year primarily because there is always some current. My preerence is white baits and this pattern remains. I ished the middle and south delta on these two days. Stay sae and enjoy the water. TG.
