    Report: Got to the second pond heading west on 2999 at 3 o clock. Fished till sundown with 19 bass between us(13 or tyler, 6 or Ryan) most ish caught split shotting 3-4 inch green baits, caught 2 drop shotting a 4 in. ox blood worm, and one on a homemade brown and purple jig with a smoke and purple yamamoto twin tail. Biggest 5 went 9.5 lbs. Tyler caught 2 2.5 lbers. and 2 1.5's I got 1 1.5 largie.

    Report: ished with my club today(cottonwood bass club) took 15 lbs to win..congrats je nichols....Big ish was me!!with a 4.91 spot on a dropshot..most ish caught on the dropshot...all were relased back into hte lake and swan o great.

    Tips: ish are getting conused by this weird weather..try dierent things, but you can always rely on the dropshot..

    Report: got to the irst pond heading west at 10:15 am and started casting a luckycrat lash minnow in chartreuss shad.....and a 1/8 darter head with an MGM green grub(maybe 109???) got a spot to 1.7 lbs on the lucky crat and that was it...I got there late.....the water is low...its really hard to ish right now without a tube....

    Report: new to the area and have ished whiskeytown about ten times with MINIMAL success ! any tips would be "GREATLY APPRECIATED." have ished jigs and worms with terrible results. HELP !

    Report: My dad and I went trolling or trout and Kokanee today. ater some boat problems got into the water at 1:25 pm. at Oakbottm, trolled up near where 299 curves towards the powerhouse with no bites, trolled back out in ront o oakbottom marina. Caught 1 rainbow on a koke-a-nut, then my dad caught a kokanee on the same setup. Hooked one more Bow that was 1.7 lbs, on a blue and chrome cripplure. All ish were caught top lining. Between 4:30 and 5:15 pm.

    Tips: in ront o oakbottom, koke-a-nuts behind a sling blade dodger, also a cripplure with no weight or dodger.

    Report: Tyler and I took my dads tube and my ODC 816 out to the irst pond heading west on 299. got in at 5:30 pm. and got bit but no ish to show or it. we moved into the back corner where Tyler promptly catches a small spot on a weightless green ghost 6" worm. He catches another on the smae worm but still no zize. I nally get into the action wityh a small spot(my only ish o the night) drop shotting a 6" rainbow #99 worm. Tyler picks up two more small spots in the back corner all on grass banks. we move into the ront corner or our last ew casts and tyler catches the " ish o the Night!" a .7 spot...not 7 lbs... 7 tenths o a pound. oh well.Goos job tyler you kicked my A$$..next weekwnd well try the big pond. have un ish hard and release all...

    Report: WATCH OUT FOR RATTLE SNAKES AT THE PONDS. I ALMOST STEPPED RIGHT ON ONE. WALK VERY SLOW AND LOOK WHERE YOURE WALKING. The ish were out though in the ront corner.

    Report: Went to the second pond today and ound a ton o bluegill and some nice sized bass. we ound them along the back bank, The blue gill hit almost anything but especially a tricospinner(ly ishing), Saw a ew bass on beds, should be great ishing in a couple o weeks, i ya go, make sure to travel lite two poles the steep banks make it hard to walk with a ton o gear.

    Tips: Slow, look or weed beds or bluegill and bass will be near by, use sot plastucs in pumpkin and june bug loating they like a slow all. good luck, and bent poles.

    Report: Great day oir ishing, got to the irst pond heading west on 299 about 7:15 am. and ished or bass and bluegill, got 11 bluegill and o bass although I did see some really nice lookin bass, I used a rattle trap, and night cralwers, the bass would take the crawler but not all the way and when I would set the hook they wouldnt be there.

    Tips: Go either real early or at dusk, and be very subtle in your presentation slow.. slow and slower are the speeds you must use. also please pick up trash...

    Report: i went to whiskeytown yesterday with my dad lookin to catch a limit o trout and we sure did. anybody lookin or a un time oughta get some light rod and 4 lb. test and go out to the powerhouse just to the let o carr powerhouse there is a big school o rainbows and brookies just waiting to be caught, the bait that caught us the most ish was any color power bait with a tiny slitshot right down on top o the trebble hook. then all you do is cast it into the school and let it sink and when it gets close to the bottom jig it up a ew times and let sink, continue this until it gets too close to shore or a ish gobbles it up, also I had luck on a white rooster tail. nice day o ishin hope some other people would try it.

    Report: decent size bass are coming out o the irst pond o highway 299 heading west , small bomber FAT A's any color ished right ater sundown should produce 2-3 pound smallmouths. there are sometimes much bigger ish in view but they are easily spooked and diicult to catch purple grubs sometimes do the trick though

    Report: Lots o big ish , mostly cruising with some on beds. easily spooked. Did manage a 5.7lb large (non-bed ish)on a senko. Should be great i the wind ever quits!!

    Report: FISHING HAS BEEN GOOD IN SMALL PONDS OPPOSITE OF LAKE ACROSS HIGHWAY FROM MAIN LAKE. SMALLMOUTHS IN THE 1-6 POUND RANGE HAVE BEEN CAUGHT IN BACK CORNER OF LARGEST POND.PATIENCE IS DEFINITELY A MUST!
