Report: My girlriend and took our kayaks out rom 5-7 pm today and I landed a 3.5# largemouth on a rapala husky jerk. It's always un to catch a big ish rom the kayak!!!!
    City: San Mateo

Tips: I just started ishing this lake so I'm just iguring it out. Typical bay area bass lake though, lots o casts with a good number o lure changes to get the color right. It's a relatively clear lake so you want to use natural looking lures. I spotted the remains o a crawdad on the shore so that's why I went with crawdad color today. Good luck!!

Report: I caught one ish early in the day around 5 lbs on a solid black jig in the looded trees in the back o the lake. Because o ree ishing day, the water was very crowded with trout ishermen. I didn't catch any more untill about 7 PM near the boat ramp, and it was barely a pound.
    City: Cupertino

Tips: Water is high and clear, about 8 eet visibility. All the ish I've been catching are in about 10-12 eet o water and are hitting plastic worms and jigs. Not much o a reaction bite to speak o.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Pretty incredible day (or ME, at least!) at Stevens Creek. Most ishI've ever caught out there in one day -- one 5.1, one 4.9, one 3.4, & 8 or 10more between 1.5-to-2.3 lbs. (per my Berkley scale)! All were caught on a5/16-oz. pig-&-jig, black #11 pork, on a black jig with a ew chartreusestrands. Fishing rom my 8-t. Outcast kickboat, I caught 'em tight into heavycover, some o bare banks, & some under loating debris. The big ones werecaught in the back end o the lake, but even ater moving out about halway tothe picnic grounds, I was able to yank out a ew 2 lb'ers o both sides o thesparsely-covered banks. Nothin' but the jig seemed to work, so I pretty muchstayed with it all along. Met up with Nicolo, who, ater ollowing me back tothe back end, hauled out a 5'er o his own! Anyways, they're out there, but Iknow this can be a tough lake to ish. Wanted to let you know, though, thatthey CAN be caught, i you time it right with the water l!evel, weather, wind conditions, etc. (Water's up into the trees in the back, bythe way). Tight Lines!

Tips: crankbaits would be good...as long as they're like 1-2inches long and look like bass...

Report: I started out this morning at 8:30, launching my kickboat rom the boat launch. I trolled around the lake or trout or an hour or so and then went towards the back end o the lake seeking bass. I only managed one bass, 5.2 lbs, on a 8" rainbow trout Yodo ished around poison oak. Ater ishing or bass or another two hours without a another hit, I went back to trout trolling. The water was a little more stained towards the back end, getting clearer at the dam, with at least 8' visibility.
    City: San Jose

Tips: The bass appeared to be spawned out. I you can get out there on a sunny day, try jigs or lukes up shallow.
