Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished from 3:30 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. out of B&W. Stayed close to the marina area. I caught 3 dinks on a red Speed Trap and 1 dink on a 6 inch Senko. The Senko was bigger the the fish!! Wifey caught a 2lber and a dink on successive cast using a Swim Bait. She's good!!! I still can't catch a fish on a Swim Bait!!
City: W. SacTips: Where are all the hogs??!! We launched during the end of a Tourney. The winning weight I was told was around 17Lbs. I remember when 20Lbs was the minimum you needed to cash a check!!
Going out next week with my son hope it gets better.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Wait until 8:30 am until the fish start to bite. That's what the Junior Bass Club ( NorCal Bass Ratz) did for their tournament. The water is low, but the fish are in 25-40ft of water right now. Top water in the late part of the day. Dater head with a sexy shad, Jigs, lipless crank bait and a drop shot.
Winning weight was 11.58 lbs for the big bag of five fish.

Water Temp: 68
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Rattletraps (red) were the ticket for us, just inside the Mokulumne and in Potato Slough. Couldn't get anything else to go. Just keep chucking and cranking the rattlebaits with a mixed cadence until you're sore, and they'll produce (well, at least 2 weeks ago and during our club tourney yesterday). Most of what you get might be small, but the keepers are there as well. Just keep chuckin and crankin (outside weed lines on outgoing tide was best for me on both dates). Yes, you'll probably be pulling weeds off just about every cast, but keep the bait above or adjacent to any weedbeds you see and the fish will hit, here and there---not saying it's wide open by any stretch, but it's 'fair to good'.
City: San RafaelTips: Red red red red red / crank crank crank crank crank... If trying to get into the topwater stuff, try to get out super early and time it so your early outing coincides with the high tide (use charts at http://www.deltaboating.com/tides/tidesj.html to plan... looks like next Friday/Sat will put the high tide around 6am so go get 'em with topwater first thing, then switch over to the rattlebaits and see if those are still workin!)

Water Temp: 65'
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Early am, found shad poping and caught them on top water and one on jig. No size, just one 2 lb and the rest dinks. Fished main river, rocks. As wind picked up, fished inside pockets along tules with spinner and cranks. Plenty of dinks - 11".
City: ssfTips: Tough fishing to catch keepers. Didn't matter what color but as wind picked up, fish were chasing cranks and spiiners. When wind died, top water was good.

Water Temp: 71-75
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Started off around 9:30 on the main basin near the dam. Started there because there are always fish there and I was looking just to get bit. Caught a 2.37 and 2.07 there, one on a dropshot and the other on a wacky senko. Lake slicked off, so made a run up the river. Keeper #3 on a Rico in a shade pocket at 2.15. Back down the lake a bit and caught keepers #4 & #5 in a cut with some trees. One on a darthead (2.20) and the other on a jig (2.66). Ended the day cranking shallow points in the main basin for alot of keepers, but nothing that would cull what was in the box. Ended up with 11.20'ish on the cull'em rite. Good day, off at 2 PM.
City: RosevilleTips: Keep moving, lots of bait and the fish keep moving to follow the bait. Crank bite will be on fire if there is a good wind blowing.

Water Temp: 72-76
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Water Temp 72-76
Water Clarity 2-4 ft.
I had some great days in this last week fun fishing in the south end, one day I had a 24lb limit and lost a couple nice ones, the rest of the week all I caught was a bunch of 3 1/2 pounders but still managed to hook a big one that came off.. Some days they are eating the bait well then some days they just bump it or dont commit to it as well.
I caught fish on Swim Baits, Jigs and Frogs.
City: Clear LakeTips: Tips: Try the frog later in the day, fish the swim baits around ambush points and fish the jig in or around heavy cover.
Have Fun.........StevePerkinsFishing.com

Oroville Lake

Water Temp: 82
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: The bite is very tough!!! I fished for 6hrs today and only boated three fish and nothing over 15" and two I caught were the same sixe as my crank bait and one about 12". Fished Middle fork, south fork, and main body. The only three fish I caught where suspended fish that took a crank bait over 30' of water. I tried darter heads, tubes, drop shot, you name it. I have had some rough days out on this lake, but I thought I was gonna get the skunk. Lucky for me I got the smell off my back about 15min before I left.
Tips: Find another lake to fish until the bite gets better.

Report: went out today and a couple other times that i was to lazy to post.started off on the south side cranking rapalas and jensens for a while and grabbin the jig here and there for the thicker brush dwellers didnt get bit.switched up to deeper water 8' to 15' draggin beavers with occasional lift and drops subtle tick couple pounds.buddy got couple on split shot rig with blk blue maveriks and blk blue beaver.(hemotoma)for me.other anglers have had success with fish up to 9.375 pounds with quite a few 6 and 7 pounders..
City: rosaTips: ive had tougher days lately.try to stick with reaction type baits for the nicer fish.anglers have been catching fish on a wide variety of techniques and baits.some guys have been doing decent on tules, for me its been wood.this fall and winter should be great. seems its getting healthy lots of craws an bait this year.any one going ill see ya there on monday.good luck @ catch and release. p.s fountain grove can be thinned a tad of throw in a truckload of vitamin t.maybe the trout might eat the bass instead?lol.fishing is a contradiction.

Water Temp: 72-76
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: I had the oppurtunity to guide a couple of great guys Tuesday evening. I thought I would pre-fish it during the day but ended up with motor problems to end the pre-fish. Good thing for Clear Lake you can fish almost any where and catch some nice bass. I pick the guys up at the dock at the north end of the lake at 6;30pm, put the trolling motor down, took out some spooks and senkos and focused on open holes in the matts. Didn't have to go very far befor the guys were nailing 3.5lb to 5 lb.ers. Nothing really big, but and evening full of bass that size for a couple a guys that just got off work was a great evening. All of the bass came on spooks, the senkos were to follow up on a missed strike.

Report: Fished in the panhandle for trout since they had their first plant about 5 days ago. Friend ended up catching a 15'' trout towards sunset and a small panfish mixed in with some little bass on a nightcrawler. Good sign for future plants if trout are already biting.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Luanched out of Holland Tract about 8am. Weather was overcast and calm My son Evan and I headed out to the main channel to the tules. Evan used a single colorado blade chartreuse spinnerbait while I tossed a ribbit frog in the tules and switched to a crankbait outside the weed line. I caught 1 while Evan caught 3 or 4, all small. Wind picked up and we fished the surface weeds Evan caught a few more dinks on a chartreuse buzzbait with one giant blowup that he missed. Ended the day about 1pm. Total, me 1, Evan 9 or 10. As usual it ended up the student teaching the teacher.
Good Luck, Have Fun And Be SafeTips: Boating safety tip.I have a plastic wire tie attached to the end of my kill switch line. When moving I loop the wire tie over my wrist. It won't interfere with your steering and it may just save your life.

Water Temp: ?
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Went fishing on the Delta the other day. It was probably one of the best days I ever fished on the Delta. Not a lot of big fish, just a lot of fun. It seemed like every bait I threw worked. Presented my bait at all levels and it didn't seem to matter, not sure where the fish were sitting, but they didn't care. Wind did kick up a bit towards the end of the day and it just helped me get back quicker. Thought it was kind of interesting while I was fishing one area that about 10 boats pulled up to this one spot, then fished a while and took off. Hmmm.....must be something going on there.
City: Santa RosaTips: Stay focused, fish as many areas as you can and don't leave one fish behind. Fish deep, but don't rule out the top water.
