Report: While I was up visiting my parents, took my dad,son and nephew bass ishing rom shore. The most consistent bait was a 4" senko in watermelon, pumpkin, pearl blue, smoke you name it. I ished a color until we ran out. The irst day picked up several on lukes and a small twitch bait. Great place to take the boys or quantity o bass, or the most part no size. Virtually all o the bass were 6-10", but the boys caught 10-15 ish each day rom 8:00 am -11:00 or 12:00. The kids were able to learn more about how a bass hits and then setting the hook. Many times you could see the ish pick the senko up. Fished the senkos weightless and would pitch them to the outside o the weedline. You could also pitch to the inside o the weedline, but you would only get the 4-6" ish. On Friday I managed a 3.5# smallmouth, what a ight. Most o the ight I didn't think I would ever get him out o the weeds to even see what it was. It picked up the senko ater it ell all the way to the bottom on the outside o the weedline and sat there or a good 20 seconds then my line started to move. I you can get to the lake earlier I think you will have a better shot at the bigger ish.
City: Newark, CATips: I you have kids, nephews, neices etc. take them ishing. Use a small bait like a 4" senko rigged weedless and weightless and sit back and watch the un. Kids don't care about size they want action and quantity.
