Water Temp: 46-47
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Well, Western Bass has told me that they will soon be providing info pages for other southern Oregon lakes such as Lost Creek, Applegate, etc. but until they do, here is a report on Lake Selmac for anyone interested.... Got on the lake around two in the afternoon with a slight breeze and showers.... Figured this would be perfect for an afternoon of fishing.... Right away saw a guy in a Ranger boat fishing the stumps on the northwest end of the lake, and of course putted right over to ask how he was doing... He said he had been there since early morning, and hadn't touched a fish... Yuck ! ! I went over to the shoreline that approaches the dam, and fished fron the docks all the way to the dam without a bump.. Tried Sassy Shads, jigs, cranks, and swimbaits, but nada.. Even I can get the message, so I put the boat on the trailer and went to Selma for some coffee to warm my old bones... Water temp was 46-47 everywhere that I checked, so it might still be a little chilly for the fish, I know it was for me..... Oh well, next time ! !

Report: ( THE LAKE NAME IS WRONG BECAUSE VERNONIA LAKE IS NOT AVAILABLE)I spent the day on Vernonia Lake today. Elecric motored boats and shore fishing only, the lake is stocked with trout but holds some healthy bass as well. Shallow water makes for exelent sight fishng!!!! A little early in the season still, I think when the bite is on, it will be good fishing here.

Willamette Lake

Water Temp: 45
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: The fishing was very slow, but I was suprised with the water temp. I fished in some deeper water 15-20ft, and had no luck. How ever I am new to this area and have a lot to learn. Any pointers would be great. Oh also I was below the falls. Now at least you have an Idea of where I was at.

Emigrant Lake
-
Water Temp: 42-44
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: I got on the water at 2:30pm and off at 5:00pm. I did catch 1 dink smallmouth and a handfull of perch on a dropshot rig. All the fish came off of a point on the main lake 35-50ft deep. The lake is up quite a bit from the last time I went out. I found willows in as much as 5-10ft of water in one spot.
City: central pointTips: fish dropshots slow and you may be lucky enough to find a smallmouth mixed in with all of those perch. Anyone who just wants to catch a few perch, just fish a dropshot rig with 3 inch worm. There are tons of them in 40-50 ft on points.

Emigrant Lake
-
Water Temp: 42
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Took my grandson to Emigrant mostly to try out my new-to-me bass boat.. Put in at main ramp at about 1 p.m. under bright sunshin and NO wind, rare for Emigrant.. Fished the main arm, graphing fish on every point that we came to, all in 35-50 feet, but no takers.. Threw jigs, sassy shads, rattle traps, and spoons at them, but only had what may have been a pick-up in about 50 feet of water.. Off the water at 4:30, and even though no fish, a great time was had by both of us, and I found out what I wanted to know about the boat before going down to Clearlake later this month...
City: Williams, OregonTips: Water temp was 42-43 degrees everywhere that we went on the lake, and the air temp was also 42 all afternoon, but felt much warmer in the sun... Three of four more weeks with reasonable weather, and this lake should turn on again.....

Report: Dave, thanks for the report, if the weather stays good I will have to hit the lake later this week. I hope this sunshine may cause a few fish to move up. Thanks again for helping us out.

Report: THANK YOU FOR THE REPORT ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! I hope we will be seeing more reports from Oregon this year!! It's a big help if you hear SOMETHING about a lake before you spend big bucks for gasoline and then find out when you get there that the lake has dried up or something...... Let's more of us let other people know about our beautiful lakes up here and what's happening on them.....

Water Temp: 42-44 deg.
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: I went to Emmigrant today just to run the boat before I go to Shasta this weekend. I got on the water at 2pm and off the water at 4pm. I graphed a lot of fish at 50-57 feet so I fished a green pumpkin zipper worm (4 inch)on a drop shot rig, and couldn't keep the yellow perch of my line. Unfortunately I couldnt bring up anything else to say whether there were any bass mixed in with them. Sorry I dont have anything better to report, but i thought i'd better report something since the last two guys were disappointed with the number of reports.
City: central pointTips: Talk the oregon fish and wildlife into stocking shasta lake spotted bass into one or more of these deep southern oregon reservoirs, then we could have something to do in the winter.

Report: Well, I see that Sean has been here too, and I whole heartedly agree with him that I wish more Oregon bass fishermen would submit reports on these pages.... I live near Medford, and fish the coatal lakes, northren and central California (Trinity, Shasta, and Clearlake) as well as drift the Umpqua for smallies when I get the chance..... The northern California guys submit a lot of reports, and that sometimes decides me on where I want to spend my gasoline money.... I wish more Oregon bassers would do the same ! ! ! Tight lines, and let's share our info ! ! !

Report: Hi there..... I'm responding to Sean's comment on these pages..... We Oregon fishermen need to take a few minutes and submit reports on our fishing experiences so that info gets shared and possibly keeps us from using up valuable fishing time going to a lake that for whatever reason just isn't kicking out fish..... I travel to the coastal lakes as well as northern and central California lakes (Shasta, Trinity, and Clear Lake)as well as drifting the Umpqua for smallies, and would be glad to share any information that I pick up along the way..... If you want to share info on a more personal basis, my Email address is included in this report.... Let's get together and share experiences ! ! !
City: Williams, ORTips: The only tip I have right now is let's let each other know what's going on, and where ! !

Report: Glad to see a few current reports on this lake.... I guess maybe Oregon fishermen are starting to find these pages..... I fish the costal lakes as well as northern and central California lakes (Shasta, Trinity, Clear Lake) and also drift the Umpqua for smallies when I get the chance... The northern California guys post reports on their lakes frequently, and it sure helps me decide where to spend my gasoline money.... Really would like to see more reports on out Oregon lakes as well ! ! ! Let's do more to help each other out by submitting reports here on these pages...........
