Kelly Chase. (530)275-4075
He was taught by Glen Smith. I had Kelly do two fish for me and they are beautiful.

check out Globalfishmounts.com i think these guys have something like 4000 molds in house and hundreds are bass. Easy, I just emailed my pictures and answered a couple question; mouth open or closed? Tail straight or bent?

I have 2 smallies and 1 LMB from these folks; high grade replica Art

I'm glad you are satisfied, but I will never recommend them based on my first and only experience. Horrible, horrible and very disappointing results, even after getting the opportunity to get it right. Never, never, never.

Trying to judge what peice of art is better than another comes down to how each individual views the art.
Replica California Florida strain largemouth mounts vary greatly in coloration from highly stressed diamond patterns, vivid or brightly coloration to life like natural coloration.
If you want a replica mount that is shaped and painted to look natural and alive for decades; my suggestion is Roberts Fish Mounts, contact Robert Munoz; 626/222.1366 or John Rosenburg 626/332.9424.

Good thing they are not a site sponsor, you'd have to moderate yourself for bashing. :D

If they were, the boss would have to fire me :evil:

I'll let everyone here who hasn't seen or heard the saga judge for themselves:

I caught this 11.07 beauty last year:

Image

I contacted Global Fish Mounts, as they were heavy advertisers in WON and I'd seen their stuff at the Fred Hall's shows. I had some email communications and explained what I wanted. I provided the photos, along with the length and girth measurements. I requested a replica, as close to the original as possible. They claimed they "would love to build my trophy mount" and that it would take 30 days.

Ordered the end of March, ot having heard from them by May 5th I sent an email inquiry and got a reply back that it had shipped.

May 11th I received "my" mount - here is what I sent to them upon inspecting it:
I received my mount today, or at least what I think is supposed to be my mount. While the mount is beautiful, it bears little resemblance to the actual fish/photos that it should have been based on, either in appearance, size or proportion. I’m not sure if perhaps someone else’s mount was sent instead?

1. The mount I ordered was 29 x 21 ½ inches – this mount is approximately 26 x 24. The original fish was much longer and skinnier and this mount is much more short and stout;
2. The coloration on the fish in the photo is considerably darker;
3. The eye color on the fish in the photo is deep and dark;

I’ve got to say that I’m not too satisfied, if this is the correct mount for my order? Please check your records and see if there has been some mistake?
Here is what I initially received:

I also provided the comparison photos.

On May 15th I received a response indicating they were sorry that I was unhappy with it and suggested that I box it back up and return it so they could "correct the errors".

I replied back and agreed to box it up and asked how they would handle the shipping. I got a response back on the 19th saying that they would arrange for UPS to pick it up.

On May 23rd I still hadn't received UPS instructions or a pickup. I sent another email asking about the status. They finally made UPS arrangements and the mount was back for the corrections.

On July 14th I still had not received the replacement, nor heard anything from Global. I sent an email inquiry asking about the replacement.

On July 20th I still had not heard a word regarding status and sent another email demanding status.

I received a response that day indicating that they had gotten the correct details, and that the replacement was with the painter and would be shipped by end of week.

On July 23rd I was sent a photo of the 'replacement'. I told them that the colors looked great and the replacement eye was correct. I also said that the proportions were nowhere near correct, but as it had taken that long to get to that point I agreed to let them ship it (as it seemed that was the best I was going to get).

It was obvious to me that they disregarded the proportion correction and just reworked the mount they originally sent. It ain't even close... much shorter and more girthy than the real fish.

Had I just wanted any old mount to hang, that would have been fine. Unfortunately, I wanted a REPLICA and that ain't what I got!

Oh well, live and learn.

Aren't you glad you asked? :lol:

all I can say is that I got my 15.5lber replicated from Lake Fork Taxidermy and when i opened the box I couldn't believe the fish I received. It looked like the exact fish I caught and released at Casitas. The length and girth were PERFECT!!!!

Roberts mounts I've seen are incredible...oldschool sent me a photo and was gorgeous. But from my personal experiences...Lake Fork is where I will go again and they are priced VERY affordable!

My mount is 9yrs old now and still as perfect as the day I received it.

Tuna, it's a nice looking mount, too bad it's not anywhere near the actual measurements of the fish. That suck, and I would be upset too.

You caught that pig on a dropshot?
