Where are the best places to stay near New Melones Lake?

Post by MartinDeHaven »

I'm looking for a good place to stay near New Melones Lake.
Are there places to camp and charge boat batteries?
Are there boat friendly motels or Cabins close to the lake?
Any input will be a big help, I'm gonna be fishing up there for a few days

there are no hotels/motels, cabins, near the lake, there is a campground that u can reserve thru reserveamerica.com but there are no hookups otherwords no power. not sure if you can rent a slip at the marina you would have to call and ask about that. if you camp you could take a generator but if you have good batteries they will last a few days.

Angels Inn is only 15 min from the lake and very fisherman friendly.

I believe we stayed at the angels camp campground down the street from the tackle shop. We were able to charge the boat. The campgound was friendly and nice. Bathrooms with showers plus kid friendly with a playground and horeshoe pits.

I've stayed at Angel's Inn. If I remember right they even had a rate for bass tournaments. A little tough to manuever around the parking lot but they had electrical and I never got anything stolen.
