What are the least expensive full size bass boats?
If you were to buy a new 20 to 21 foot bass boat, who makes the cheapest one.

You can get into a big Nitro fairly cheap now. The Z-9 at 21 ft w/225 Optimax is 39K and the Z-8 20ft with 200 ProXs is 29k.

Re: What are the least expensive full size bass boats?
First, I'd consider your budget and what you really want. A 21ft boat is pretty high on the food chain for boats. A deep V 18ft can handle the same big water. Also used boats are an option if you can get financing. So that leaves a lot of options to get this right. You'll likely be with this boat for awhile.
Talk to Moulton at C and C and see what he has..Ranger is a good brand...compare to the nitro's.

Re: What are the least expensive full size bass boats?
Nitro will get you the most boat for your $
What are you going to use the boat for ?
If you are "fun fishing" any brand will do just fine!
If you are going to fish turnys I would look real hard @ what brand is the sponsor for the events you will be fishing as they put up money that you can have if you cash a cheak in their brand of boat!
As for size do you realy need a 21' er?
What type of water do you fish?
Bigger is not allways better. Larger boats need deeper water to flot and are wider and can not get in to the same ares smaller boats can but if you fish large bodys of water like the delta or clear lake 21' can be nice when the water get ruff.

Re: What are the least expensive full size bass boats?
Probably Nitro is the least expensive but once you start adding options they are all pretty pricey in the 20-21 ft range.
Like others have said, you may not need a 21. If you fish Mead, Columbia River, Powell, or Elephant Butte, Erie or Champlain go big. If you dont fish those, I would stay with a 20ft or even a 19 1/2.
The best deal you can get is used by far. Alot of pro staff boats available and not all of them have 200 hours. Some alot less, and alot of guys have the seats, carpet etc... redone at the factory. Generally, you can get a pro staff or dealer demo loaded for alot less than a "stripped down" new boat. Go to the nitro website and fill out the custom quote thing. On a 20 or bigger you are going to want a 36volt T motor...upgrade expense. You probably want to upgrade the electronics, another expense...I think you will find that you are going to be significantly above the numbers quoted previously.
Hope this helps.

Cheapest is the wrong word.. Champion.. Skeeter...Ranger equals quality get a good deal used boat with low hours to save money but beware of motor problems very costly..Going new I might look at Phoenix they build good boats and want a piece of the market bad.
the best way to catch a big one is don't lose um sharp hooks set drag retie!

Re: What are the least expensive full size bass boats?
I do belive in a new boat as you asked
Nitro and Stratos are the lower priced options in a Base model boat.
I have owned a Nitro 14 years and its still great, but I take good care of it.
All Brands have a base model boat, we have many good marine dealers in CA,
Gone Fishin Marine has great service for after you buy your boat.
They have Skeeter, Nitro, Triton
Many Brands are offering a 18 foot boat with a 150 for around 21k right now.

i don't know where you are saying Nitro's are cheap...i went to the BPS in Rancho and they were up in the mid 50's! thats in NO way cheap...
I find most boats are pretty even...i did look in the Bee Line boats and those seem to be on the lower end of the spectrum along with the Phoenix boats. Both are very nice rides!

WOW really....
There's not 1 Nitro on the floor in the 50's....There is a 2010 Z-9 CDC w/250 Pro XS, Lowrance HDS-7 and more for $45,375. The Z-7 is 21,995 with a 150 Optimax. The Z-8 w/200 Pro Xs is 30k

Agree with above post. All boats have a base price cheaper model. We own a Nitro CDX. After we upgraded with the Trolling motor, Fishfinders, hot foot, motor, is wasnt cheap. You can get in a good quality boat, standard package for under 40,000. Call Gone Fish"n Marine in Dixon for Nitro Boats, they have great service, rather get one from them, then BPS.

When I say cheap I mean cheapper the some of the other brands. Their in nothing cheap once you make the move to a glass boat. An that's not to say that you can't spend some real $$$ on a tin boat eatheir

Re: What are the least expensive full size bass boats?
look at the current issue of Bass Anglers Guide Magazine, great article on choosing a new boat.
Choose what best suits your needs!
Some boats are better in rough water.
Some boats are better for overall fishing with wider beams.
There are alot of things to consider.
Choosing only on price will leave you unhappy!
Many will argue about what brand to buy, like Chevy vs. Ford
I feel most boat parts will wear in time no matter the brand, it's the outboard that drives the ship!

Re: What are the least expensive full size bass boats?
check out Bob's Marine in Modesto. His prices are very competitive and he carries Champion and Stratos.
Re: What are the least expensive full size bass boats?
You should include Stratos with whatever you look at. A few years ago, Bass and Walleye boats did a review of the Stratos 201 XL, including running it in the Gulf of Mexico. They called it the best riding bass boat they had ever tested. For '09, the Stratos 201 was the only bass boat in Boating Life's Top 10 boats. The 201 is one of Stratos' more expensive models, but they are competitively priced and might have something to fit your budget. Good luck.
