Thanks guys. It's an honor to serve and I feel very lucky to be in the Air Force. My dad is currently serving in Iraq via the Army. I've always felt a sense of obligation for military service.

Im just glad to get the heck out of Vegas and Mead! Can't wait to flip some brush for a change on a new home lake!

Good luck in basic training David. I heard the worst possible thing that can happen to you at Air Force boot camp is over sleeping and over eating, and that the hardest test is making sure your back holds up to sitting in a chair for 10 hours a day. Just kiddin'. Good luck, and take advantage of the travel opportunities the best you can. The Air Force really takes care of its people, you shouldn't be let down.

When I first signed up. They had all of us at MEPS testing us for everything. Over the PA we hear chow will go at 1300 for all you army and navy recrutes. That's 1 o clock for all you Air Force. And for all you Marines that's when the little hand is on the one and the big hand is on the 12.

It's always entertaining to witness ribbings various branches give eachother! From what I've researched, AF bootcamp has become a little more rigourous than years past. Basic used to be six weeks yet was changed to 8 1/2 weeks to intergrate more weapons and field training.

I'm still prepping myself to get reemed by the TI (AF drill instructer) and his HOT A$$ breath and LOUD A$$ yelling two inches from my face...oh what fun!!! One cool thing I recently discoverd is there are three lakes near my base in Technical Training School!! If I get ANY freetime, please believe I'll hit them up!

Im a fan of all the branches, Dad in the Army, Grandfather in Navy & Airforce, I should have qualified for the Coast Guard with Mead's notorious 8 footers!!! Oh yeah, I've had two English Bulldogs so I gotta give the Marines their due!!

All in all, we know we are on the same team and our mission is to WIN...and I love to WIN!!

Dave I will miss at my tournaments it has been a pleasure having you compete, and I will miss competing against you. You have always been a class act.
Do not get rid of your gear because you never know where you might be stationed. There are a lot of bases close to great bass water.
