trolling motor batteries

I was wondering how long a 40lb thrust 12v trolling motor would last on a deep cycle motor? I cant seem to find anywhere that tells you how long batteries will last. Oh yea i am thinking about getting a 12' aluminum so the battery will be just for the trolling motor. is there a big difference in the ones around $120 vs the $220 priced ones.

I have been using a 40 lb. Minn Kota Edge, 12v on a 17-foot Tracker, foot-controlled bow mount. My battery is a Duralast 27DP-DL, about $97 at Autozone. Really good batt -- it lasts all day for me and recharges fast. I'm happy with it.
