The Rico....Casts a mile and comes with great hooks. The G-splash from lucky craft. And the Gunfish kinda a spook popper cross. And the Spro popper frog for the grass and mats.

For me it's the Persuader Popping Walker. It's a walking/popper bait all in one. I like the 3/4 oz... great sound, leaves a nice bubble trail, moves a ton of water when needed... I have used this same bait on lakes as well and got nice spots to crush it. There is also a 5/8 version if needing to match that size of bait...
Yes, this is one of my sponsors, but I have been using the product far before partnering with them... good stuff.

Ya really need at least one of four types of poppers in yer arsenal as each has different characteristics for different trigger situations.

Chuggers - These are the t-bones of Poppers, big 5-6" poppers that when worked really fast and hard, creat a lot of commotion on the surface that draw big fish and violent strikes. Megabait Bubble Pops are my favorite. The old Hula Popper excells here too!

Bloop-Bloops - Subtle poppers fished really slow with long pauses, that imitate small bream feeding on surface activity. R2Sea's D88, Iovino's Splash-its and Yamamoto's Sugoi Pop all excell at this.

Fast spitters - Fished best on lakes very fast that emmit a high pitched spitting sound and sends a good amount of water splashing outin front of the bait. Rebel's original Pop-R, Rico's and Michaels poppers fit the bill here.

Poppin Walkers - These spit and walk at the same time and work when ya need a smaller version of a Spook, yet need that commotion on the surface ta trigger strikes. Both the old school Chug Bug and as Randy mentions the Persuader Popping Walker are excellent choices.
