I'm at Las Vegas BPS doing Seminars...

Post by DanWarme »

I have been asked to speak at the LV Bass Pro shops this coming Mar 5 & 6th. Will be my first time back up on a tank since my Chemo and Radiation a couple of years ago. Throat don't fail me now! Also, this will be my first seminars in that area ever. I'm usually just there for the fishing on Mead!

The schedule I have been given is:

Saturday Mar 5th, 2:30 pm.

Sunday Mar. 6th, 12:00 pm.

If you are in the area, I hope you will come by, if not to hear me ramble on stage, at least come up and say hello. Always willing to talk fishing! Would also be great to put faces to some of the names here.

Hey Dan,
We have never met, but I will be there as well. I'm up at 1pm. Through the 20+ years of fishing Mead, I have always heard your name. I look forward to meeting you as well.

Best of luck with that Dan...
We all you you're going to do a great job.

Brent,
Will be great to meet. I have heard your name as well.
Been far too long though since I did a tourney on that pond. :(
I miss it but am not sure I could physically do it anymore after all that has happened and that growing older thing. lol
The one thing I do know about Mead, (and Powell + the other CR lakes)
They can sure beat you up. Some of my college football days hurt less than a day on Mead trying to get back from the Overton arm on a N-S wind. Hurts to think about. LOL

Hey Dan & Brent, Good luck up there at the Vegas BPS. I just did the Manteca BPS this Sunday, this being the 2nd consecutive spring I've had the pleasure of working a BPS. It indeed was quite a pleasure, their new prop stage made for a great fishing seminar setting, and it's always a kick to be able to do short 5 minute demos on their fish tanks on the weekends, when they feed their fish. Those fish know when the water fall is turned off, the people gather around, it's feeding time! Take yer best tackle, it'll ALL look like the Banjo minner commercials! HAR!

Hey Cooch! Long time, no see. Completely my fault for not getting to the delta!

Know what you mean there.
Have been on the tank at the Fred Hall shows when thery got their fish from Lower Castaic lake, OMG, you never saw such lock jawed fish. First 3 days of seminars you would get maybe 1/2 of one bite in all of the seminars combined. they didn't start to loosen up until late Sunday sometimes.

Other times, when they got fish from dumber, less well fed populations, man you couldn't get a word in edgewise cause no matter what you put in there, they were all over it. Had to switch to pink clothes pins for bait just to be able to get the introductions done. lol
