Re: installing new electronics ?
Most of the boat dealers can assist you with questions or do the work for you, depends on what you need.

See Gene at the Hook. He did all of mine. Superior work and very reasonable. Plus you have a tackle store to spend the money you saved!
Re: installing new electronics ?
I need to replace my 332 in the dash. Lawrance says they know longer service this unit. they will sell me a 520 for$362 which is a good price. I was wondering if there is a better unit that will fit in the same hole in my dash.

You can find the dimensions for the 332 here on page 37 and the template on page 40:

Given those I would then go through the manuals for the other units here, compairing dimensions to see which ones will fit:

A quick look leads me to believe the 520 will fit perfectly.
The HDS 5 may fit too and if you can afford it I would consider that unit as you'll then be able to add structure scan at another time if desired.

Thank you stockoption for your time. After talking to c&c marine they said that the HDS5 will fit. So I think I am going to go with the HDS5. I hope the hds5 is worth the extra money over the 520.

Give Mike Osgood a call, (408) 821-2948. He is located in Manteca and is the one I personally take all my electronic issues too.

Re: installing new electronics ?
if the hd5 fits then all you should have to worry about is do you have gray cable connectors(older) or blue cable connectors. unless lowarance changed them for the new models, which i doubt as boat owners would have to pull new cables. all you should have to do is unplug the old one and plug in the new one..my 08 came with a 135 unplugged and plugged in a 520 but the side scanners could have changed things.
