Whats with Melones water level?

Post by Turkeyman »

According to the state data exchange, Pedro is 6' from full, McClure is 30' from full and Melones is 145' from full. What the heck. A friend told me they don't expect it to reach above the high water mark of last year. Is this true, and if so what is going on?

It was up 3-4' from Thursday to Sunday last week. Not sure if they slowed down the release or more coming in, maybe a combination of both.

Turkeyman Stockton surd the feds for more water. That is why Melones is so low. If we didn't get all this rain these pr**ks would drain this lake. Melanie at Glory Hole has all thr details! Everytime the Wes Valley calls for more water Melones goes down.

Your Government governs the water in New Melones and Mc Clure. TID governs the water in Don Pedro. Mc Clure is just lucky to have all that water coming in from Yosemite, it will be low at the end of summer again I'm sure.

There are three when full. The furthest is past Camp nine and is almost always out. I believe the one everyone is refering too is just past the Parrots Ferry bridge. Then there is one just past the Stevenot bridge. They are all your Lowrance maps.

Went to Millerton on Memorial weekend for the first time.

Now THAT was an eye opener more than one can imagine for this early in the year that I could ever even think of for a Lake dropping so fast ..... and so early in the year...... with a few still now capped mountains in the extream background !!!

It was a "mental trip" my first time @ launch ramp #5 with DeltaLuke for our first time there

... and My wife about crapped herself going down Ramp #2 --- To get to #5 ...for her first time later that day!

It was really really INSANE to drive paved roads - that have been litterally underwater previously ---- to end up at the last ramp possible on the south side.
You know, we always called each other goodfellas. Like, you'd say to somebody: "You're gonna like this guy; he's all right. He's a goodfella. He's one of us." You understand? We were goodfellas, wiseguys.

The road that leads down to the water at the south end of the 49 bridge used to go across the river, if I remember right 3/4 of it is still there. Been along time since I seen it.
