Galaxie Marine Going out of Business Sale!

Post by philyhog »

Due to a tough economy and an even tougher boating market Jim has been forced to close the doors at Galaxie Marine. All remaining inventory, including all accessories and tackle are being sold at greatly discounted prices. The shop will be open Friday from 12-6, Saturday from 9-4 and Sunday from 10-4. Call 530-889-8001 for more information or visit the website www.galaxiemarine.com

But I did get a new tempest for 300 bucks...

If I could get those Triton seats to fit in my procaft I would have got those to.

maybe that's the reason that True Bass hasn't been on TV?

That's too bad. Never got a chance to hit the store, but I know I will miss True Bass. I wish all the episodes that aired could be uploaded somewhere. I have several on DVR, but I know I missed many of them.

Jim is a great guy and always glad to help anyone. I will be sorry he is gone, hopefully he gets an opportunity to open again. Thank you for the great customer service, Jason Bubier.

It's a sad day! Going to miss giving Ryan the business every so often. Best of luck to all the employees and Jim. Who is the next closest Triton dealer to help with any warranty work?

That really sucks. They are great people. Jim treated everyone very fair. I wish the whole Galaxy team the BEST of luck. I wish this was an April Fools joke.

Sorry to have to read of Galaxie Marine's closing. :(
You know, we always called each other goodfellas. Like, you'd say to somebody: "You're gonna like this guy; he's all right. He's a goodfella. He's one of us." You understand? We were goodfellas, wiseguys.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. The guys in the service department have opened there own service only shop in Auburn. See them at aboatshop.net . As for Jim we all know that he will land on his feet. As for TrueBass stay tuned for a TrueBass website that will have all of the last 15 episodes.

First time I met Jim :)

Post by Gary Dobyns »

The boat show had ended and Galaxy was pulling their boats out. Jim was backing into the building (in a very tight space) and I couldn't help it. I slapped the side of the truck, Jim slid down in the seat and looked sick. He got out of the truck and everyone was laughing. Jim figured it out, looked at me like he could not believe a Ranger guy was screwing with him. We had a good laugh and I have really liked him from that day. Galaxy has a lot of great customers that are going to need a new home. That sucks.

Really bummed about this too! Jim, Ryan and Phil are great people. I second going to Capitol City Marine with Mike VanWagner. He used to work for Galaxie and still has the same attitudes as the guys at Galaxie do. Mike even sold me my first Triton. His new shop has done work for me on my Mercury outboard and had bulk oil the last time I checked. I will also check out the shop the service guys from Galaxie have opened up. They have never done me wrong.

Thank you Galaxie, you will be missed!!

Really sux! Ryan and Phil always helped me out a bunch! Really great guys. I called Jim a few weeks ago and made a warranty claim. I asked if they were still there. He said they would be around. I guess they just couldnt get though the tough times. I wish them all the best.

I've called the store on Saturday & Sunday, and still no answer. Please give me a call if you have a new lower unit for a 1995 Mercury 200 EFI.
Thank you in advance...
