Frogs stalk them frogs and are very accurate at getting the hooks buried in their mouth! I have cought a few bullfrogs, just goes to show you it really is the "Perfect Frog"

Ha ha! I have only done this once before but my dad is the master at it. I swear he has a personal best(frog) of probably 2-3lbs! The thing was HUGE!! He can also get the frogs to jump on it and hump it

The one time I did it I was fishing in a club tournament and the guy in the back of the boat was throwing a frog to and he had the frog jump over to his but no comitment. Then I threw my frog behing his and I brought my frog accross it and it took to jump over to my frog an I thought it just jumped ontop of it and was sitting on it. But the other guys said he ate. All I had to do was lieft the rod tip and the thing jumped 5feet in the air with all of its legs sticking straight out!! I got it to the boat and it was probably about 1lb

That has happened to me as well on the Delta, several times, I don't like touching it so if I happen to see one go after it, I pull it away as fast as I can.... LOL.
BTW, nice sunset photos of Clearlake....

Was it your first time throwing a frog?

J/K, doesn't happen that often at CL, most of the frogs I've seen have been up in Rodman, even though the fish don't seem to respond to them that way

I caught a monster frog at Clearlake throwing the black and yellow. You think a big frog could eat a small black bird?

My family used to raise turkeys in North Texas, for the most part it was a free range type operation..The turkeys watered at a small stock pond on the property, we were losing several turkey chicks a week and could not figure out why, until my Dad had my brother and me follow them all day for several days..It turned out some of the smaller chicks were being eaten by bull frogs..I would not have believed it if I hadn't seen it..

Take a kid fishing, and don't forget about us older kids either..

Hmmm... my 1st time throwing?... lol... yeah it was... and seen that frog and many others in Corinthian Bay \ slough...

Rodman seems to do just fine for froggin... anytime I've gone up there and thrown frogs, It's been great times... just gotta spend some time figuring out how they want it... ;) and when to be there...
