I would recogmend 1 size- 6inch Straight Tail. Either in the regular or Fat Shad. Both are great. And as far as color you cant go wrong with Aarons Magic, Aarons Magic w/ Red Flake, Margarita Mutilator, MMIII. All are exceltent proven and reliable colors to fish year round and at just about any and every lake! I hope this helps!

Robo worms are an awesome product, there are 2 reasons, one is they have a salt release systems that last about 5 minutes and they have a very good color solection.

They will work well on even given body of water "BUT" not all water is the same and from year to year it can change, 2006 you could drop a Margareta Mutalator down and in 5 seconds have a 2-4 lb bass on it at Clear Lake, 2007 they did not want it, they wanted watermellon candy, what happened? The water color was way clearer in 2007. Check you local tackle shops for colors that are working best at the time you are going but Robo's are always in my bag.

Good Luck.

4 1/2", 6", 7", straight tail, curley tail, regular, fat - they all work great! And don't forget Oxblood with red flake... they're my main go-to.

I love the 6inch fat for dartheading and the 4.5 inch culy tail for dropshot in all of the previously mentioned colors.

I start with 6-7" and I cut them when the fish say so

Colors
1)Ox blood....flake, no flake....don't much mater to me...but I like no flake

2) blue crawler or peoples worm...same color..just a different pattern

3)Bold bluegill...This is one fish catching CHUD of a worm...

4)Margarita Mutilator....its a beauty of a bait

5)Hologram shad...it a bait fish color..honestly one of the best

6)Aarons magic...come now..a very proven color

so what do you got...a Red, brown, purple, green and 2 bait fish

all you need...just build from there and enjoy

wow.. nobody said my fav... Blue crawler in any size. I actually like the 6"fat versions now as it stays rigged on a darterhead better.
Mac dont agree, but..
I always try and match color selection to current conditions, Water clarity, low light compared to a high sun, match the hatch, etc.

MMIII-
Bold Bluegill
Aarons magic
Oxblood
Salt river craw
Blue crawler
Purple Punisher

Robo does not have any bad colors. They all work. They are know to eliminate a slow mover. ( This sucks sometimes) Everything is a top seller and they make the best and most consistant worms. Period. Also, they are nice guys.

If you wanna target bigger bass their 7.5" Robotail worms are super cool. Thick body, ribs and a big tail for moving lots of water. Oxblood, Peoples Worm, and if you can find it, Watermelon Rind is another color I like however, I bought that color when they were sold in the plain white "Future Product Preview" package about a year ago, don't know if that is a mass production color.

Did they drop the color all together in all worm styles? I got some in the "sculpin" a while back and they caught lots of fish.

Does anybody know about the Watermelon Rind color? Did they mass produce it or was I just lucky to get it when they were previewing the 7.5" robotails in the plain white bags?

SOME COLORS ARE MASSED PRODUCED AND YOU CAN NOT BUY FROM ROBOWORM. WE HAVE FOUND THIS OUT BY FINDING A COLOR WE LIKED AND HAD TO BUY AT DIFFERENT WHOLESELLER, AND COULD NOT GET FROM ROBOWROM. THERE IS A COLOR WE USED ALOT CALLED SALT RIVER CRAW AND CAN NOT BUY DIRECT OR FIND AT ANY OTHER TACKLE SHOP, BUT WE HAD LOT OF THEM ! FROM ANOTHER SOURCE.

Robos are probably the most commonly used soft plastic out here in the West. After drop shotting grew big, and many casual anglers started to fish bass because they knew the drop shot would work, the Robo became the main worm in use, mostly because its readily available and works very well. The Robos really got started down here in SoCal with Mike Brakebill and Aaron Martens, but the main reason they got popular is their consistency. At that time, there were no real consistent handpour companies because a large amount of the handpours produced were being exported to Japan where the demand was huge, with the exception of Iovinos and some other guys who stayed local. Thats being said, my favorite and most consistent robos generally follow the lines Aaron Martens put down in his article here on Western Bass, but fish aren't always that easy.

Blue Crawler-cinnamon blue
Oxblood- brown
Aarons Magic- dark green
Bold Bluegill- bright color, small baitfish
Magarita Mutilator- dark color, good for deeper water and darker days
Hologram Shad- shad
Black Bass- baby bass
Red Crawler- red
Prizm Kraw- purple brown

But the bass don't anyways follow the guidelines. The thing about Robo, they are known for specialty colors available in local shops but not big name manufacturers. You can probably get them from local shops but not online or at bigger sporting goods stores.
My favorites are Orange Crusher and Baitball. Sometimes you have to throw the fish a different bone and these are my different colors.
