What transpired at Casitas today was illegal and immoral. If you were a tournament angler you received a quadruple dose of extra scrutiny. Its true ca has new regulations and the rights of its tax paying citizen's are it's lowest priority.

My phone was ringing off the hook this morning and I was at DVL about the insanity at Casitas. What a shame. Rick G.

As for what happened, they had some new guy inspecting and thier looking for any reason to not let you in. 9 tournament boats were not allowed into the lake.
I don't know all the names but one of them was Scott Sweet...he's the one of the ones pushing the "Dry and clean" and even made the stickers.
One of my buddies that wasn't allowed into the tournament said the reason he was denied was of a little rust on his screen in his livewell. Everything on the boat was dry. He won't be back to that lake, ever.
Another was denied b/c of a fish scale on his livewell screen.
One was denied because of 3 pine neddles on the floor of his boat.

I haven't heard of the other reasons but I sure most of them are b/s.

It almost takes the fun out of even going to that lake. Thats probalby what they want...but I will keep going until the sh@t hits the fan and I end up telling one of them where to go.

Also, the inspection took so long that the tournament didn't start until 7:30.

Hopefully when I go to texas for 6 weeks, they don't have this drama.

See you on the water(if I can get in)

yea how about that anglers choice fish off set in feb 09 the 28 day rule would pretty much eliminate the whole colorado river, lake powell ,central az ,regions from fishing that tourney and who know what other lakes will be added to that list from now till then should be about a 1 in 50 chance at winning a boat cause half of them wont get on the water

Man! sounds like a nightmare. What can us "out of towners" do to help out? Since some of the lakes in Arizona has these Mussells showing up, I would hate to see that happen here.

For sure I'm going to video tape my inspection when I start going for Top Stick. I want to have my rights messed with so I can become a real american and sue the hell out of the place and retire!
