Fire at Windflower Point - Clear Lake, CA.

Meant to post this picture a week or so ago. Quite a show Labor Day weekend watching this place burn on Windflower Point. It appeared that the lone house (with the blue roof) took some pretty significant damage:

I would have gotten closer to the fire, but hey I was busy fishing

It was bad enough I had to dodge three nasty cruiser wakes on my way to Mildred that Sunday afternoon, but could ya imagine my suprise and anger all at the same time as I pulled up to my fishing spot and saw all these Yatchs tied up in a circle sittin on my fishing hole? Dude, there were 50 of em there, all tied together partying like they were on spring break in Copper Canyon! NOT!

And then the antagonistic light went on! I punched it and ran two circles on full pad, at 70 mph, around them non-bassturds! Most fun I've had since my last BDO in a pink thong post! HAR! HAR! HAR! HAR! HAR! Needless to say, these guys think ALL bass fishermen are jerks!

Ps. This dastardly deed was performed by professionals, absolutely do not try this at home!

(I saw them also, I was told that all the boats were the same manufacture and they do this on the Three day holidays).

DO THEY NOT CALL IT WINDMILL ISLAND/POINT ANYMORE ? LIVED THERE 20 YEARS AND IT WAS CALLED WINDMILL ISLAND BACK THEN !

I have also known it to be Windmill Island. We were fishing there when we first saw smoke, then a big burst of flame and we called it in. The Sheriff pulled up and then had to go to Konocti to get the grounds troups as the CDF flew over dumping on the home. It was actually the smaller home of the two. It took about five or six of these buckets to put it out. Sorry about the poorness of this shot, but the lake lice began to swarm and it was crazy. They were spinning around swamping the boats around them as they tried to get a better look. We finally left when the front deck was filled with water from some SOB

Should be a nice hole there now due the vortex you created and the propwash form those tubs.

I think that fire was the weekend after Labor Day unless it burned two weekends in a row. I saw it too. Pretty intense with the CDF chopper and crew they dropped off.
