It would appear there will be some changes in 2025

Post by WB Staff »

From Ben Green Insurance Agency
It would appear there will be some changes in 2025. I feel for anyone in California working through these carrier cancellations and insanely high rate jumps. As some of you know they cut out commissions one carrier is non renewing the entire 1,351 policies I had with them. Zero fault of my own. We have been working through this on those affected. Thank you as always for your support! 👍🎣🏆

Ya. Homeowners insurance for me use to be around $1100 a year including fire insurance. Now my homeowners is the same but the fire insurance is not included. So now my only choice for fire is thru the California “UNFAIR” plan. It just went up again and is now over $11k for the year. This state is straight up raping us. It’s a whole extra mortgage payment each month. The people that run our state bend us over anytime they can.
On the brighter side of all these crooked fu%-+#s, Nancy pelosi fell and broke her hip yesterday. At her age that can be very bad. The best news I have heard in a looooooong time.

The nasty trick here is that the CFP policies are backed (ie. underwritten) by all property insurers licensed in California. What does that mean ? That means the big carries - Travelers, State Farm, Farmers, Mercury etc. will deny coverage for your property - a home in good condition in a low fire risk community - then sell you a low coverage / no liability 'fair plan' for 6x times the cost.

In short: They got their asses handed to them up in Paradise and other HIGH risk areas and now they want everyone to help them recoup all those losses. Crooked biz for sure - not Ben Green but the big boys,
