HAPPY BIRTHDAY Dennis Choi! Today is Dennis‘ birthday and look what he got from Lake Camanche! Dennis was fishing for trout off the north shore day use area going for trout with power eggs and believe it or not a four lb. test line! This monstered weighed in at 15.46 lbs!!! Dennis is at the top of the leader board for 2019 Annual Pass. Let’s see if this weight holds through the end of the Monster Fish contest 12/31/2018.

A friend just sent me the lake camanche facebook post of this fish....
Says it was released unharmed! Congrats an a beautiful fish.

I just hope he was enough of a serious fisherman to realize the gravity of what he did. Rare catch in northern California these days. He must have used some good fishing skills to land her on 4 lb test. I wonder if there is a record that can be broken (4 lb test) in California if the bass was officially weighed.

Landing a bass that size on 4 lb string would be hard enough from a boat but from the bank ?
