Thermalito Afterbay Fishing Tips

Does the thermalito afterbay fish just like the CA Delta? Does the pumping of water back into Oroville effect the fishing?

I was thinking about making a trip out there in a few weeks. I have never fished there but I have seen numerous fishing videos and photos. It looks exactly like the delta. I am pretty sure its a shallow fishery like the delta except without the tides right?

Will most techniques and baits that work on the delta also work in the thermalito afterbay?

It can fish like the Delta. Similar cover, lots of cover, big fish, shallow water fishery and there is current from the pumping and wind or whatever but yes no tide changes. Yes, same baits and techniques.I think Ken Mah won there punching. Don't know about the water pumping effects.
