My wife and I are heading to Tahoe for a few days (South Shore).
Are there bass in any of the small lakes in the area? I'd be fishing from shore.
Her plans of hiking, biking and tennis just seem to have a glaring hole in them, that being bass fishing.
I can't wait to see her face light up when I load rods and a tackle bag into the truck.....I just hope she doesn't break them.

Actually lake tahoe itself has bass in it. My friends have a place in tahoe keys on the water and I have seen lots of bass in the area.

As mentioned, there's bass in Tahoe around the keys area. Stampede Reservoir near Truckee has some smallies in it too, I think. I was just in the area recently but was chasing trout. Some of the lakes were quite low and the wind was howling!

There's bass there. They're all by tahoe keys and you can't fish there unless you get in by boat.
There's a launch at Cave Rock that you can fish from for trout.
