Nice commercial and someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe this Mustad hook has a completely welded eye? I know it has a vinyl coating around the eye but unless it is fully welded, the vinyl coating will eventually give way and then your braid will be cut by the incomplete weld.

I've been using this hook for just about four years now. I've punched literally HUNDREDS of bass in the range of five to 11.5 pounds and never had any issues at all. I've covered more miles than most (punchin' with these) so if I don't have a problem with them, I wouldn't think there would be any.
