The new Stradic FI has several new features that actually improved the reel. The new spool and line management system works extremely well to reduce (Almost eliminating) line twist. The new reels actually cast further than before because of the new spool.

The reels use a smaller frame now for reduced weight, the balance is also 50/50 now for a better feel on the rod. The new gearing is more durable than ever before. The end result is a much improved reel that performs to the demands of todays angler.
