You know, we always called each other goodfellas. Like, you'd say to somebody: "You're gonna like this guy; he's all right. He's a goodfella. He's one of us." You understand? We were goodfellas, wiseguys.

Basket Case,
the three inch senkos are great on a drop shot and split shot. If you are in a school of bass that are bustin shad or smelt throwing a 3" weightless senkos match the hatch really well.
I keep a pack of smoke 3" and 4" in my finess box for these occasions. Pretty cool to get them for free.

What ever you do, DONT throw them on a darter head or a shaky head!

2 years ago I was using 4 inch senkos on a shaky head. I was doing alright but not setting the world on fire. After they got torn up, I'd bite an inch off and re-hooked them. I noticed I got more bites. I started getting the 4 inch out and biting off an inch and doubled my hook-up. It still flabbergasts me that an inch make that much difference.
I have trouble accepting it.

THAT'S RIGHT!!!!! DAN, NEVER AND I MEAN NEVER THROW THE SENKO!! THEY NEVER WORK!!!!!

Re: 3" Senko?
That 3 inch senko is sick when fished weightless in clear water. I have yet to use it on a jighead. But on a dropshot it is a pretty good bait too. Try throwing it wacky rigged on a drop shot on deeper weedlines.

The SMB at Sonoma love them pre-spawn...

Yea, never put a nail weight in one end and hook it wacky style with a #2 mosquito hook either.....and stay away from green pumpkin...waste of money....

Thanks for all of the great tips (and all of the things not to do)
I am going to get out and play with some of these this weekend... I will let you all know how it goes!

For God's sake, don't EVER throw them on a splitshot to the bank and work them back to the boat. You'll never catch anything that way!
Seriously, my personal best for "how many bass can you catch on one Senko" was 16 throwing across the launch ramp (Lime Saddle at Oroville) from the bank, in the rain. I think it was a 3" cinamon with a #1 or 2 Gammy offset rigged weedless.
They work even better when they get chewed up, and when you've worn out one end just turn it around and hook it up from the other end. Then start chewin' the ends off like Greg said. Or if you don't like them, send them to me. I'll pay shipping!

see ... size does matter. in this case, smaller is better.Greg_Cornish wrote:2 years ago I was using 4 inch senkos on a shaky head. I was doing alright but not setting the world on fire.
