Seat Pedestal Extension for Tall Folk?

Post by jtf408 »

Does anyone know where you can buy an extension for a Swivl-eze 3/4 in king pin pedestal seat? My current one only goes up 30 inches, and it is uncomfortable. Or does anyone know of a Taller Pedestal Seat Manufacturer?

THanks,

Josh

YOU CAN BUY KING PIN POSTS VARIOUS SIZES 11" to 15" OR SO, I JUST PULL OUT MY POST AND PUT IN A SHORT KING PIN POST AND PUT MY STANDARD POST BACK INTO IT LIKE STACKING THE POSTS.....THEN THEY STARTED MAKING 30" POSTS AND I DON'T HAVE TO DO THAT ANYMORE !!

So the King Pin Posts have a threaded hole on top to screw in the existing 30" post?

some king pins 3/4" are threaded , but it did not matter in my boat, the king pin still slipped into the 3/4 slot and i did not need the threads

jtf408 -- I am not sure if my pole is a SwivelEase or not -- but it is adjustable and I put on my seat one of those mounts that have a built in "Spring" from Walmart.

It raised the seat another 4" or better and was around $12. I am 6'4" tall with a 36" inseam. The adjustable pole itself (not sure if your set-up is adjustable) was around $48 from K-Mart that was cheaper than Walmart here locally.

You can see a closer pic of the spring mount on this pic. Hope that helps you out some.
