Re: Sun protection face covers and gloves
Long before the recent west coast popularity of face masks I’ve been using and researching sun protection gear. Even with sunscreen I still burn quickly. I’ve watched my father, who like me worked outdoors and was a passionate fisherman, deal with skin cancer. As Bassin mentioned, I picked up on wha...

(picked up on this a little late, this might still help) Those are excellent questions. The thing that stands out for me when you mentioned fishing from the bank versus fishing from the boat is number one, you’re moving your presentation into the strike zone/funnel when you’re on the bank. When you’...

Here is an article I wrote in 2011. Co-Angler checklists. http://thebbz.com/articles/2013/2/11/co-angler-checklists There is a lot of information here, too much to cover in a thread. The piece is geared towards Pro/Ams and FLW events but the essence of the back deck applies to fun fishing, the highe...

Many assumptions here that are way off base. I can state as fact that Bill asked me to fish this particular event with him. Just my luck I couldn't make it. If you KNOW something then say it. Amateur is a French word meaning 'lover of'. Just as that implies it means that you do something for the love of the endeavor as opposed to doing something as a professional for pay. At the same time I haven't seen any derby's that lists non pro anglers as amateur's. They are Non-Boaters, Co-anglers...

WON Bass in my history has never allowed a solo angler to fish a TOC regardless of how they finished during the regular season. This is a good thing. When on party boats I have been laughed at and mocked when I release my sand bass. They say hey there are guys on board that will eat that fish. I just tell them , then let that guy catch it and then it is his. The jackpot is chump change. Unlike the boat and the $100.00 prize ...

[quote="ScottyJ"]So I noticed the paint on one of my favorite jig heads has chipped off and was wondering of it really even matters. What do you all think?
It only matters if it matters to you. I think you should fish the chipped ones for awhile and see what the fish have to say.

Good question and one of the hardest things to deal with when fishing or otherwise. No matter how good you are at dealing with it tends to linger. It is the stubbed toe effect. I was thinking about the truck, not a 44 gallon boat fuel tank. Either way I have not seen a better offer. Thanks for the bump. Most Co's hitch a ride pre-fishing and split the fuel costs for fishing time they partake in. I am saying here is gas money and you don't have to look at me.
