In case you haven't noticed, it hasn't rained much. San Jose has seen 5.33 inches of rain this season. A normal year is 13.48 inches. Ukiah has seen 13.56 inches. A normal year is 34.84 inches. Sacramento 6.58 inches. A normal year is 18.14 inches.

Yeah the new ramp looks a little sketchy to me. I scoped out the end of it and it looks like the point end of a wedge laying over deep water. I would be careful launching at low tide.

Honestly the major downside in an aluminum boat for me is how much you get pushed around when facing windy conditions or current. It can get pretty frustrating and makes me want to go fiberglass. the river definitely looks and feels different compared to last year. i've seen a lot less weeds and mats in spots that are normally caked. i also don't remember it being consistently this freakin hot all summer.

I fished Saturday and did really well. I can say that all fish were shallow for me. I fished from noon to 8pm. I did frog fish a bit as well and caught several. I think the old saying don't leave fish to find fish is meant for when you are catching fish and on the Delta those arches can be anything....

I haven't tried punching but there are some decent mats to flip. I can tell you that for me personally the bite has been great on the Delta the last 2 weeks. I'm not flipping though... I found water clarity anywhere from 1-3ish feet and temp around 58.8 to 61.

Wave worms work just as good. I prefer rigging them wacky style with no weight. Bass hammer it that way.
