Four bolt tune up required, You will spend a lot of money and time to get another 3 MPH, Not worth it. Sell your motor and buy the one that has the max recommended horsepower!

What batteries are you using now and have they been performing as needed, If you are constantly running at at or near 50% you should have 100 Ah. If under 50 AH may work fine 3 50 AH battery's will do about the same as most 3 grp 27s Long term cost cost is about the same, but you drop at least 100 m...

I would bet a 1lb penalty would improve things a lot, I very rarely have a dead fish, no more in the 80 degrees water vs 50 degree, just requires a little more time to take care of them properly, some guys just refuse to do this. A 1 lb penalty and they would do better

They are going into a summer pattern, at high tides there are still plenty of shallow fish, just think current flow and near deeper water meaning 10 ft or more, don't be afraid to fish the weeds and flats as long as it does get some current flow, concentrate off shore where there are breaks very clo...
