Re: crawday color ?
Last year while fishing the delta the subject of craws only turning red during the digestive process was discussed. Not 5 minutes later a bright red craw comes crawling out of the tules onto the mud at low tide and plops into the water. That ended the theory of red due to digestive juices.

Re: Hypothetical situation poll
It is only cheating if an attempt is made to gain an advantage over the other competitors.
For example if you keep 6 fish and one is dead and then weigh the five live ones.
All this being said it is darn easy to lose count if the bite gets hot.

I had the same problem years ago and found that the cork oil level float got oil soaked and would sink instead of floating. The cork is originally resin coated but deteriorates with time.

I had a big suprise this week while
putting on my life vest. The co2 bottle had came unscrewed and fell on the floor of the boat. I plan on checking the bottle from now on and suggest you do the same as I doubt it would function well when in a loose position.

I think you are over doing it. I have used 65 braid and no problems. Also used the titanium leaders which is a lot simpler. See what the guides in the area recomend when you get there.

Re: Spooling a spinning reel?... How do you...
Pull out the amount of old line you want to remove down the driveway, street etc. Next pull out the same amount of new line on the ground to the same stopping point. Cut the line and hook it up to the backing and reel it on the spool. Simple and it works everytime.

I don't care how sharp they are, once they get in the rocks it is throw away or sharpen, and how do you do that with a multi- sided hook. Sorry kb just another negative thought but this price is over the top.

Fished out of north shore today and had no problem at all launching and didn't spin a tire. Stay next to the dock and there is no problem, but there is some sand on the outer lane. You don't even need to get the truck tires off the pavment to go in or out with a 393v.

No problem with regular treated wood because most marine carpeting has a rubber backing. Remember if you drill holes to re- treat that area before installing the carriage bolts. The wood is not treated all the way through. Some use wood screws but not me.

TDawg, I never take it out of overdrive unless in the hills. Make sure you have a tranny cooler and if not install one. Change the transmission oil as recommended in the owners manual for rough service if you tow a lot.

Bring a camera because you will never see much prettier place to fish. Rocky shorelines, tules, catails, lilly pads and yes docks. They have several nice places to eat on down town main. There should be no problem with motels.
