Re: HDS Gen 3 Standby Issues
I guess I should have stated earlier that I do not have my units networked, and I can duplicated it in the driveway. Its funny, when I put the gen 2 on standby the broadband sounder quits clicking and when I put the gen 3 on standby the broadband sounder just keeps clicking away. I'm still waiting f...

Re: HDS Gen 3 Standby Issues
I also have and HDS 7 gen 2 that I can hook up to the front sounders and have no issues; I put the gen 2 in standby and move, next spot put the trolling motor in and close the standby and it finds bottom in less than 10 seconds. I have a ticket with lowrance and they have actually sent me a replacem...

Re: HDS Gen 3 Standby Issues
Tried switching it to full page chart this past weekend, same thing. When I put the trolling motor back in and switch back to the sounders, it takes forever to find bottom.. If I let it go, I'll fish a spot without it ever picking up the bottom.. I'm also still working with lowrance customer service...

HDS Gen 3 Standby Issues
Have a HDS Gen 3 up front with broadband puck and Structure scan transducers mounted on the trolling motor. I hit standby on the graph, pull up the trolling motor and move. When I get to the next spot, put the trolling motor in the water and turn the standby off both transducers are reading 1500' de...

Re: unclear on the math at oroville
I found out that you can’t rely on the CDEC website for accurate lake levels. As Gary posted above the level on the web site says 703.73’ for yesterday but if you call the hot line (530) 534-2307 yesterdays level was 697.90’ and today the hot line says 698.00’. What I would like to know is w...

Here is your sign :?: :?: :?: :?: :? I think he was asking about ABA not FBL..... The last I heard on wednesday night from the tournament director was that ABA was launching at the spillway on saturday, but that could have changed by now. Call the director John Vawter, I think his number is listed o...

Re: Prop Warranty Issue/Rant (Long)
Scott, Its funny you mention the Chevy and a power pole, I'll just say that anti-loc brakes on Chevys don’t work…. You do bring up a good point but it’s hard for me to grasp the concept of a Stainless steel blade being broken by a piece of wood a little over an inch in diameter. But, t...

Re: Prop Warranty Issue/Rant (Long)
True, props are put under a lot of stress to push our boats around I don’t disagree on that. But the way the blade looked where the piece was missing looked like the break started from the trailing edge of the blade. Plus the metal in the area where the prop broke looks pitted.

Prop Warranty Issue/Rant (Long)
Here is the story: I was fishing a tournament on the second of June and we had just made a long run to our first spot. As I’m coming off pad I see a couple of pieces of debris and take evasive action to try and miss them, but end up hitting one about 3’ long and as big around as a pool cue. We l...

Re: Anyone fish anglers choice?
The $175 covers both guys and is your basic entry and big fish is included in the $175. The 15, 30 and 40 are option pots and I think they pay to the top 3 spots in the options. If you get in all the options it $260 per team. Hope this helps

Re: Anyone fish anglers choice?
Fil Torres runs the Gold City division and you can call Oroville Outdoors to get in touch with him or just check the Anglers Choice web site. The next tournament is on 6/2/07, entry is $175.00 plus there are options and they pay 1 in 5.

I only have two problems with the stickers: 1. Both of the boats shown on the example have a swim deck attached to the back of the boat. 2. I read the attached literature and could not find anywhere that it states that its the law to stick these on your boat. But I did not READ and MEMORIZE the stat...

Alright I'll jump in on this one.... I hit Oroville at about 11:30 am on Saturday and headed up the slot toward Bloomer. Stopped at a bank that I fish regularly and caught one on the first cast. The fish were anwhere from right on the bank out to 50', but thats as deep as I went. I caught most of my...

Re: Swamp Donkey Batting Average!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've been using "Yellow Bill" color, supposed to be like a baby duck. There is no specific amount of time I wait to set the hook, it seems to differ with each fish. Usually though I try to keep any eye on the bait and if it disappears I set the hook. While others I just keep a tight line a...

Anyone use the 4" & 6" zipper worms and beef tongues anymore??
Reason I ask is that I'm going through everything I have and need to get rid of the stuff that I don't use and over the years I've accumulated a lot of packs of these and I just don't use them anymore.
