The actual process is maybe 15-20 minutes. This was for my son's day cruiser with a jet drive. So no live Wells etc. I would think that a tournament situation you would want to get it done ahead of time or you could be there a while. Until they get there decon equipment on site we really don't know ...

They tag your boat on the way out. If the tag is intact you're good to launch. If the tag is broken then decontaminat, pay and launch.

Well I'm going to give it a go tomorrow. I'll report back and let you know how it goes. My boat is an older Champ but I take pretty good care of it. Hope it doesn't get beat up to bad. Thanks for the responses.

Lake Arrowhead in So cal uses high temp water flush. It's a private lake accessible only to locals with lake rights. My grandson just bought a boat and I watched them flush it. Gets tagged when he pulls it out and as long as the tag is not disturbed he can launch without being flushed again.

Glad you were able to get it fixed. Jason replaced the transom on my Champion a couple years ago. Very happy with his work and reasonablely priced. C&C also does my maintenance and has been very good.

Lucky uou. Don't know why they closed the ramp to the public but it sucks if you want easy access to milderds. Guess Ladd' s is the best option now.

That would be a negative on Whisky. Been completely closed to the public since late last year. Called this morning to confirm. She said closed indefinitely. Was my go to when Tiki got so bad.

Just check the Whisky web site. Ramp is closed until further notice. Usually closed Friday through Sunday from labor day until memorial day.

Hopefully you never need it but it gives you peace of mind knowing it's there. I had the seat post break in my boat last winter and put me in the water. If I hadn't been in shallow water I would have been screwed. No way I was ever going to be able to get back in the boat with the extra weight of 3 ...

A good ramp in the same general vicinity that's only open to the public Monday - Thursday for $15 is Whiskey Slough. Take the Trapper Rd exit off Highway 4 no bumpy, winding road. Launched last Friday. As stated, a bit steep but I've launched my 18' champ there a bunch by myself with no problem. Ramp it self is in good condition, plenty of traction even when wet.

C&C Modesto replaced the transom on my 97 Champ in January. Couldn't be happier. Price was fair and Jason ( there glass guy ) got it done in the time frame quoted.

I like launching there and i knew about the fri,sat and sunday no public launch. I like to be on the water by 5-5:30 am and that's why i called first because ive waited at the gate before. Gal told me 7am so i took her at her word. Would hate to tow there and have to wait.

This is nothing new. I have had this happen many times over the years fishing the Delta. When you see those big waves, you have to step off the front deck of the boat and stand in the middle seating area to avoid taking those waves over the bow.
