Re: Ned Rig questions
Does your lake have crawdads? Do you fish it in/around rocks? I have found that this bait mostly appeals to fish feeding on crawdads. I rarely get bit when I fish it around areas without rock. Color does not seem to matter much as the lighter ones will just look like a newly molted crawdad. Also, tr...

Re: Crankbait Rod for 5/16 to 1/2 cranks
If you are willing to go with a used rod try to find a G Loomis CBR 845 or 847 with the split handle. Best crank rod I have used and new they ran around $210 so used should run no more than about $150. I have not used the E6X Loomis so I cannot recommend it one way or the other.

Anyone been to Oroville recently? Trying to get a feel for the launching situation at Bidwell. Still in the dirt or have the recent storms raised it enough to get the concrete in the water?

Those are salmon/kokanee. Try a pink/morning dawn 2 inch worm with a straight, thin tail on a drop shot. A couple of years ago a friend and I found a pod of these in about 50 feet of water which blacked out the bottom half of the graph they were so thick. You have to be patient with the bite and not...

If the friend is a novice or just wants to get bit go to Oroville. Easy fishing and solid, no question about it, bites on dropshot all day long in less than 30 feet of water. I've been going all year and caught less than a dozen under 10 inches. Bring quite a few bags of roboworms just to be on the ...

Fish are still there. Sunday bite was good after the wind came up a bit and put some chop on the water and some stain as well. Caught fish shallow (less than 20 ft) in the south fork on a flat adjacent to a recently dry island top. It could be that the fish are feeding at night with this full moon a...

If Spillway has already closed and now Bidwell is closing will Oroville have any open ramps? Lime Saddle and Spillway usually close about the same time as the water drops too low. Do like you would Spots in a lake and sit over them with a dropshot rig or brass and glass. Use a wacky senko or a 7 in straight tail worm. If they will bite at all something like that in their face will get them to go. You can keep your bait at the same depth or vary it if the fish move up or down ...

Take off the cap of reservoir on the engine. Turn the motor on and let the reservoir fill up to full before replacing the cap. Shut down and when you start back up the light should not be lit. If that does not work you may have a cracked oil line to replace.
