Re: Aluminum rig in Delta waters?
I fish the delta regularly, I have a tracker 175. I actually love the aluminum oat out there cause it sits a little higher in the water which allows me to get into some skinny water that fiberglass boats either cant or don’t want to ding up their 80k plus boats. The down side of the aluminum boats o...

Hey everyone, I wouldn’t consider my self a great delta angler by any stretch, but I usually catch fish and enjoy my day out fishing just not many of the delta giants that people talk about. I was out this past Sunday (4/21) launched out of B and W fished the weed flat by Perry’s and got a 7lb on a ...

Re: Fishing Line
I use braid to a mono leader for everything. Maxima green mono is my go to. The braid helps with the sensitivity on long cast and finesse techniques. I also don’t have to worry about all the memory in the line, since I’m only using it as a leader. Finesse set ups 20lb braid to mostly 10lb mono Flipp...

I use the shimano expride 7’3 xheavy. I’m 5’11 i can’t twitch the rod pointed down or it’ll touch the water but I can point the rod at like 7 o’clock and work the frog perfectly. I like the expride cause it’s super light so I don’t get tired froggin all day. It has plenty of horse power to rip them ...

Re: First time to Delta end April
Bring frogs and flipping gear (light and heavy) should do the trick. It should be wide open. Northern delta (walnut grove area) is a lot of wood and rock. The further south you go the grass and tullies come into play. The launches on the delta loop (pirates lair and b&w) have campsite/cabin and ...

Mark - does the med heavy cast the 5in well? My fear is with a med heavy the 5in won’t load the rod well enough on the cast to creat accurate casting.

Senko rod
Hey everyone, I’m looking at getting a dedicated Senko rod for both 5in and 6in baits. I typically prefer Shimano rods. I was thinking something along the lines of 7’ med fast action. My issue is Shimano doesn’t make an expride in those specs. I checked the Zodias and nothing either. I don’t want to...

Hey everyone,
I ask this knowing that it’s tourney season so not sure if I will get any responses. In the years past I’ve had a ton of success flipping tullies with a grass jig (not punching). I haven’t been able to get bite on jigs consistently. Has any one found a jig bite?
