I dont go any lighter then 1/8 oz heads. The bulk of the baits lifts it up off the bottom. As for snagging it just happens. Ive used weighted ewg hooks and to me they kill the action. I stick lightwire jigheads so if i snag i can straighten the hook (i use 60lb braid).

I have the punch rod paired up wiht a Shimano Curado 300 and love the combo. Butt of the rod is a tad short for casting but still works great!

$5 spray detailer at Walmart does the same thing. Dont spend all that money on that Boat Bling whatever. I use a chemical i got at a detail shop for the spots and brown stains takes it right off. I'm looking at getting a new nice finesse set up and was wondering what everyone else uses. I'm leaning towards the Shimano Sustain 2500 spinning reel and a 7'2" Shimano Crucial spinning rod. Anybody have good luck with either of these? What's your go to finesse bait?
