Re: Bassmaster Classic...
@Gary , I was not trashing Ranger, just saying they have a stress cracking problem and responding to a post that Hipster made about the ride quality of a Cat. Everyone always thinks that the boat they have is better then every other boat out there, but I am not saying my Cat is better then any other...

Re: Bassmaster Classic...
@Hipster, put a 20 foot Bass Cat and a 20 foot Ranger in 5 foot rollers then tell me which one you HONESTLY think handles the rough water better. I fish Toledo Bend alot, and you have no choice but run the boat lanes and 3 to 5 foot waves are really common there, so there is no way to get out of the...

Dude...I feel for that guy with the 15.20 pound bass that not only didn't win big fish, but came in second in the tournament. I bet you feel like a million bucks with a 15.20 pound fish, and that you're on your way to winning the tournament with all that mojo! Catch a fish of a lifetime to only fin...

Re: Could you imagine.....
Equally impressive is the pages listed of teams that didn't weigh in at all. Zero, zip, nada from 96th place on, of what looks to be over 200 teams. sTony This happens a lot in Bass Champs because points dont really matter except for AOY, and in Champs 1 decent tournament will make it to where you ...

Conroe produces some toads year round but January and February can get crazy. Prespawn is the best time to fish most lakes here in Texas.

I might get reamed out by all you west coast boys for this post, but read this part of the article. "Regarding Michael, he did not enter the 2011 Walmart FLW Tour and therefore was not able to be considered for a potential team deal," said communications head Jeff McCoy. Look at guys like ...

yeah here in Texas fall was about 3 weeks behind. We had a cold winter last winter. Where I live the 2009-2010 winter was said to be the coldest daily average temperature in 50 years. I hope we aren't going to have a repeat.

whats crazy is I have caught them with their bellies so huge it looks like they are going to bust, you look in their mouth and half a crawfish is sticking out of their throat and they still tried to eat a jig.

I catch alot of them that size and a little bigger working tx rigs on the edges of grass, sometimes they will even eat a 1 1/4oz jig in the grass

dropshot setup
I live out here in Texas and dont drop shot much but am trying to learn it better. the current setup I have been using is a Powell drop shot rod with 8lb Fluorocarbon, a 4.5 hand poured zipper shot worm, and a 5/16th oz weight.
I was wondering what yalls favorite setup is for drop shotting?

Re: As promised, My Fayette County Reservoir trip w/ pics
Fayette is definately an awesome lake, I live about 2 hours away from it, but love to fish it.
This may sound crazy to some of yall but during the summer the surface temperature of the lake exceeds 100 degrees most days but you can still go out and catch a 25lb limit.
