Split shot rig with a hologram shad 4.5" curly robo worm. Sometimes the curly tail shad on the drop shot was good also. Locals said the curly robo on a darter head worked good too.I never tried it though… Had a vacation house up there for twelve years and it was a consistent bait for me at both...

Had a 20’ lowe pontoon and used it on Don Pedro and McClure to bass fish Put a 24v power drive minnkota on it. It worked, when the wind kicked up I would head for a nice big cove that I could use the tm to putt around in. Rarely put the Bimini up … Tm batteries would get a work out for sure Can’t sp...

Never too old to take up a new hobby/sport. You may want to consider fishing McClure too..Having previously had a vacation home up there for 12 years, I fished Don Pedro and McClure. Pedro can be a tough lake. Many times we could hardly scratch up a bite. McClure has a big population of spotted bass...

I thought I remember the ranger saying south ramp was it. I drove down to the bottom and it's launchable still.
Not even enough water to moor houseboats I guess.
Ended up fishing at Pedro. Scratched up a few fish there.

Check out Don Pedro. Big lake up out of Modesto.
You can set up camp on shore just about anywhere
I haven't done it in a few years.
But we would just pay for the boat and vehicle for a few days and hang out on the lake shore.
