Re: Clear Lake Algae
I was up there last week. The lake is pretty nasty right now. I ran my motor after to flush the cooling system of any of that crap. Not sure is was needed but the water coming out of the motor was dirty for a bit during the flush.

Re: Sloughhouse, CA Bass Farmer
Ya I work for The Fishery and we provide a lot of his fish and also helped him get started. Seems like a nice guy.
Re: Carp
I work for a commercial fish farm. We raise carp and bass and can not let the bass anywhere near the smaller carp. They love to eat them.
Re: Carp
I know a lot of people say that high carp populations cause bass to move out. Im not sure thats so true especially this time of year. Carp mainly eat vegetation and insects, not small bass. The carp are spawning this time of year and I know for a fact that small carp are great prey for bass. Perhaps...

Re: ESPN IS A JOKE !!!!
Something weird happened with AT&T's service. I set it to record and did not get bassfishing. Not ESPN's fault I dont think, U-verse screwed something up.

anyone use a handheld GPS with navionics?
I would like to get a GPS with maps of the delta or other lakes but would like to avoid throwing down for full blown new electronics for my boat. I am looking to upgrade my old handheld GPS that I use for hunting but does anyone use these for navigating lakes? Are any of the ones that can download m...

Amateur...Which tournament?
I fished the FLW college series last year with some decent success. I'm out of college now and would like to try fishing some other tournaments, preferably in the Delta or maybe Berryessa. I have a boat but would prefer to fish as a co angler or back seater for a while. What are some options for rel...

Re: Delta weeds question
Thanks for all the input guys, this helps a lot. When fishing the hyacinth or what it sounds like might be periwinkle, can you just pull the bow of the boat right into the patch or should you try to punch it from the outer edge? I seem to see spots where it looks like people have just driven their b...

Delta weeds question
I am fairly new to fishing the delta and am really trying to learn it just by going. I have some generic weed questions that I was hoping you guys could help me out with. I keep hearing a lot about punching and I am curious what types of weeds you are punching through. The hydrilla seems to be the m...
