Located in Brentwood.

Can arrange a meet near by or can help with shipping.

I will split costs on shipping 50/50 as well and I get rods shipped cheap; overnighted across country costs somewhere around $20 which I again would split.

Re: Powell Rods

It is not the 704cb, just the regular 704C - which is a heavy, extra fast action. However, I actually do use it as my go-to squarebill rod in the delta for 1/4 oz - 1/2 oz squarebills along with pretty much all other reaction baits. It doesn't feel like an extra fast action; it's actually pretty for...

Re: HOW much FLEX does your PUNCH/FLIP rod have

If you are wanting to move up to the 6 power, don't be afraid to check out the 736 that Powell makes as well. I've been using that for all of my flipping and punching since it came out. I am also on the shorter side, and those 8 footers are just too much rod for me to handle around heavy cover. Once...

That 736 is without a doubt the best rod I have used around heavy cover - both for frogs and flipping. I've been throwing it since it came out, and cannot imagine a better rod. As far as the rating, I learned a long time ago to focus on how a rod handles the fish over anything else. And as stiff as ...

Give a look at the US Reels Supercasters. Either 180 or 230 size. Those types of reels (i.e. wide spooled) are a lot more proficient and easier to use compared to the "normal" spools.

Hope this helps

Yes you can, many people do that too. If the warranty is an issue, give Keith a call and have a talk about it. But like I said, a lot of people do that to their rods for more comfortability.

Give a look at the Powell rods. For 139.99 and 169.99 depending on size, you get a light, sensitive rod. The warranty is only 40$ and is lifetime.

As far as reels, you can't go wrong with Shimano - either the Curado or Citica. The Curado is my favorite reel today, and it looks great on a Powell rod.
