I have a 2017 Nitro Z18. For the price it is hard to beat a Nitro. I have had several Rangers in the past. I love my boat except Nitro uses cheap carpet and wood on trailer bunks. I have to replace mine already. I have an Ultrex and don’t have talons. I wouldn’t use them all that often.

I have owned 2 Rangers, 1 Champion and now a 2017 Nitro Z18. They were/have been great boats. The only thing I did not like about the Champion was how close the seats are to the consoles.

Don’t forget to put the self inspection form on your dash visible, they will ticket you for that also. They have them at the pay station and by the parking lot. Melones is a great lake to fish. You can go there and catch a big number of spotted bass but also catch some big large mouth. The only thing that I don't like about that lake is how much water gets drawn out of it. It seems to suffer more than the other Motherlode lakes when we don't have much rain....

The RV park has little cabins you can rent. They are nothing fancy but there are fire pits and bbq's outside. I have stayed there several times. Thank you all, I had forgot about the FPT. Went to McClure instead for a few hours and caught lots of fish on topwater and flukes. Biggest was 2.5lb.
