Ed,
Is there a maximum on the boat number for this event?
Can you inform of the past years participation. I have done this a few times many years ago and am curious what the draw has been lately.
I can see it now....the Alabama/California rigs flyin with three/five hudds
Thanks

I agree that the spider grub is a good choice now. I would also look a little deeper. Two weeks ago the best fish (15 to 18") were 15 to 40' and they would take about anything I tossed at them during mid day. I would have tried a spoon too and I think it would have been an outstanding since the...

You should experience some great fishing. Probably some late spawners and the flooded trees all over the place will be good spots to check. Yes they will be hit and miss but you will see them. Topwater in the am should be happening too. I would call Phils for the latest information. With a near full...

While under warranty it's a good idea to change every year. I have mine replaced ever spring (PRO XS 250). Just good insurance plus a check up by the mechanic never hurts. When warranty is up , and if I am not in another newer boat, I will be doing my own maintenance.

Shasta dam hotel is ok, but be warned that it can be a bit too noisy being so close to Rt 5. The advantage of Shasta Dam is that you can park your boat near your room. Motel 6 (North) or Ramada Inn are decent choices, but the former only really offers close parking to the room. I found these other h...

Xman, You have some good advice in the string. The torque that these 225 to 250s will excert at near WOT is impressive and this is transfered to the steering wheel to a certain degree meaning you will want both hands on the wheel.
