I think everyone will be really surprised at the outcome of Amistad.....if the fellas throwing the big baits show up so will the big fish. I will say it now....minus any crazy south texas weather......I guarantee the thing will be won on a fish over 10lbs caught on a swimbait! I'm all for it, spread...

Re: Tuck - Damn Sea Lions!

Sea lion's can grow up to 1600 lbs. The average ones we see in the Delta are 400-500lbs. To sustain their weight they must eat 5-8% of their body weight per day. 500 lbs sea lion = 40 lbs of fish per day ( that's better than cooch's jig) Just like any other animal the must be managed effectively or ...

Your gas mileage is not going to be very good if you lift the jeep and put oversized tires on it. Maybe 12-14 miles/gal on the highway down hill with a tail wind.

I also use a 6 cyl to pull my 19' G3 from time to time. It does fine but its' much much easier with my v8.

Go to any local wal-mart and they should have a good map of the delta.

As far as learning the delta and bass fishing, go with a guide. They may seem alittle expensive but their knowledge will be well worth it and save you alot of time and money in the long run.
