Seaguar Red Label

Has anyone tried this? If so, how did you like and/or dislike it?
Considering it is half the price of most fluorocarbon lines, I thought I give it a shot but wanted to get some opinions first before going out and purchasing a few spools.
Thanks.

i was wondering the same thing?
Re: Seaguar Red Label
Seagar red label is just like invisx but harder IMO. I use is for 15# and higher. It also has the same diameter as invisix. Don't use it on a spinning setup though. It has higher memory than all seagars FC.

I've only used the 8lb, and it was on my spinning reel. I was Quite pleased.
It might be lonely at the Top, but it's a bitch, at the Bottom !

Re: Seaguar Red Label
I really liked Seaguar Carbon Pro, but the Red label line, which is the discontinued carbon pro's "replacement" is just cr*p in my opinion. Other than terrible spool memory I really cant state what it is that I don't care for in this line, it just doesn't have the right "feel".
Re: Seaguar Red Label
I use it all the time for fun fishing and practice. The Abrazx is the best in my opinion but the red label works well too. I have not had the problems with line twist/memory that people have mentioned. Not sure why other than I do respool more often than most.

Re: Seaguar Red Label
I have been using the 10 and 12# since last October and have been very happy with the performance for the price. It does have a bit more memory than others but not too bad. I have yet to bust one off and it is hard to break when I get snagged. I also like that it is a little smaller diameter than others in the same size. I trust it on game day.
Re: Seaguar Red Label
According to their western rep Red Label is designed to be more of an entry level / budget level line.
From what I understand, Carbon Pro is being discontinued and being replaced with Invizix, and the high level premium Tatsu.
I've talked to a couple of non-sponsored anglers who use Tatsu, and both have said it is an amazing line and are looking for ways to try and purchase in bulk.

Re: Seaguar Red Label
The 8lb works well the 6 leaves a lil to be desired though
Since switching to Tatsu id say i actually save money. I have some 6lb tha has been on since feb still no memory and strong as hell!!

Don't stop till it sounds expensive!!
Re: Seaguar Red Label
I love the Red Label. I use them all from Red Label all the way up to Tatsu and have nothing bad to say about any of them. The Red Label is actually the first ever formula for fluoro (Seaguar invented it for fishing lines). I use the Red Label most now just because it is much cheaper and awesome to fish. The Tatsu is top of the line, but I'd rather have 3 spools than 1.

I spooled up some 8 for last nights derby. And it is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy harder than invisx. It doesn't cast anywhere near the same. Still good though.
