A Sacramento judge has once again rejected the Department of Water Resources' (DWR) attempt to lift an injunction blocking geotechnical investigations tied to the proposed Delta Conveyance Project (DCP). On April 9, the court denied DWR’s request, stating that moving forward without certifying the DCP would violate the injunction and its legal basis.
Barbara Barrigan-Parilla, Executive Director of Restore the Delta, responded: “After spending over $700 million, DWR still has nothing to show but failed attempts to bypass Delta protections. Enough is enough.”
