If it's wet - you'll get wet wearing pants instead of bibs. At least that has been my experience. Water tends to get in down your backside.

I had the rain pants but spent more time hiking them up.
I switched to the bibs and ain't going back.

+1 you will end up getting wet in da pants, especially with the rain we get up here. When in Socal the rain season wasnt has harsh and I could get by with the pants, up here forget about it.

Bibs are the only way to go. If they are the right size they shouldn't be uncomfortable at all. :D

I have both, but I wear the bibs when it's raining. I wear the pants when it's cold, and damp, to cut the wind. I also carry them in the truck for when it's raining at work. But not to work in, just to go from truck to site, or to check out problems.
With the bibs, I can wear a hooded sweat shirt under them, and a Gortex shell jacket over them, and I'm dry and snug.

Ash,
The west ramp was iced over last Saturday, and I thought of you almost sliding off it the last time we fished together. That was a close call, half a heart beat from a freezing dip in the lake.

Thanks brother, that was a slip and slide of a ride, but if I remember we did pretty well on your secret bait. Good times and great Memories Mark!
